I added an additional spring to the tailwheel assembly, as it was compressing too much. A quick trip to the hardware store, and I had a stiff compression spring and a couple of concave faced washers. Tail is sitting high and tight now.

I also had a chance to throw it in the balance machine and at 6", I'm slightly tail heavy, so it will require alittle lead. I'm guessing less than a pound. I'm balanced at approximately 7" now
Next, is working on gear doors and then she's about ready for trials!
I also have a beautiful set of dry rubs for all the nomenclature from Vickie @getstencils, but I want to get up close with the museums Zero first, to insure proper placement. I'm gonna do that tomorrow, so I hope to have them on, and the plane shot with flat clear shortly.

So after too long away, I'm trying to ease my way back into things.....she's back out of storage and ready to check the cg before re maiden. I've gone through all the connections and electronics...I had to replace the aileron servo extensions as the were "hunting" center. Problem solved. Everything checks out good other than one retract doesn't want to lock all the way up, no problem with locking down tho. Shouldn't be an issue other than looking bad lol.

Hiya Casey! Great to see you hangin' around the place and playing with toy airplanes again! My brother and I just picked up a big 93" span Top RC Models Zero ARF that we plan to "bash" from stem to stern. Been wanting a Zero for a long time and this one should scratch the itch nicely when it's done. Looking forward to seeing some pics of yours all finished up. Take care brother!
