Hound Dog,

The interstate is over 3/4 mile away, and the house is outside of our normal flying pattern, but we keep an eye on over-flys. It is a huge flying area and very well suited to a large airplanes' operation.

Add me to the brotherhood.
I have taken over a project that was is sad shape. I'm the third builder to work on it. A Ziroli 70" P-47D. I'm making it into a D-5. It will be powered by a G-38. I have added the scale wheel wells, and scale hinging to the tail feathers. I mostly build classic pattern ships and have some build threads in the classic pattern section. It will be done in sanded aluminum Ultracote with Klass Kote painted nose and tail w/ lower invasion stripes.

I agree it is part of the hobby. I just get disappointed in myself when I don't stick to my own flight plan. I intended to just shoot landings to get my timing back and I didn't do that. Next time out I will.

Our Miester with the new Moki 150 radial. Didn't screw the guns or pitot tube it, or install the antenna for this flight.

You can put 1/8th to 3/16ths spacers behind the rear retract mounts. It will barely be noticeable and will greatly reduce nose-overs on the Mustang. Been doing it for years.

I also shim mine forward on all my warbirds with good results. And contrary to popular belief, it doesn't change the geometry enough usually to have to make any dramatic changes to anything. I usually only will have to use one or two washers at most.

Can I get the "When you are out of Thunderbolts ..." on a T-Shirt?

My TF GS P-47 Razorback is coming along, getting ready to paint the national markings and tail numbers. I added some pictures showing the first layer stencils for getstencils.com. Pretty easy to install, I will have some fiddly work to do after I pull the top layer off to get it to lay properly around the turbocharger cooling vents and the aileron hatches.

I am hustling to get it ready for Warbirds Over Texas in less than two weeks. The CD has have a good looking plane!

Any of you Jug heads have a wingset for a Top Flite P-47D .61 ARF? I crashed mine a few weeks ago and the fuse survived 100% fine. Wing, not so much.
Tower says "late Jun" but my experience tells me that the ETA will be adjusted when "late Jun" arrives.
Let me know if you can help!
Thanks,

Try robart tires. Robart 118. I have those in H9 razorback and I can taxi, take off and land no problem.

But, does being on the committee that selected the two flying P-47's from the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, to fly in our airshow next year, count? I live in Evansville, Indiana, former home of one of the Republic Aviation plants that built P-47's. In fact the two that will be flying in our airshow June 13 - 15, 2014 were build here in Evansville a week apart. I will post more info about our airshow within the next couple of months. If you like airplanes, airshows and especially the P-47's Evansville is where you want to be the second weekend in June next year. There is actually a chance we will have a third P-47 join in our airshow. We all have our fingers crossed.

Is there any up dates to this show.
