Oohhh, so that's the trick. LOL. Sometimes I envy guys like yourself, but I wouldn't trade em for the world. Someday, I'll retire, and do all the stuff I please. Someday.....

Please add me to this list. Just picked up my P-47 (55" electric version) at a local swap meet. Will be either redoing the scheme totally or at least adding some weathering to it

You have a picture you could pm me or post?

Lifer what your saying is, I can have 1 switch for my ignition with the battery, and can I have 1 heavy duty switch that I plug into the rx, with a y harness that has 2 life batteries on it??

Two switches.

As far as a picture is concerned, everything is buried in the fuse so there would be nothing to see. There are a total of three switches; two the the dual flight packs, and one for the ignition pack.

Default Oops My Bad

How bad is it when you say you have one and forget you have two? Duh....
The first is bone stock and getting ready for changes.
The second I don't actually know the manufacturer got it in a swap.

raptureboy,

Thanks for posting the diagram. I wanted to share one but could not remember where I had seen it. If you do't have enough spare ports in the receiver, that's when you use "Y" harnesses.

So, am I safe to say that running two packs in parallel like this will not double the voltage, only the Mah?

Correct - I have my P-40 set up the same way with their batteries. If you run them per the drawing then your voltage stays the same. Only if you put them in Series do you add the voltages.

Just remember if you use LiFe batteries it is best to keep the Mah the same in both batteries and you will need to remove the Orange/White wire from the switch going to the RX on both sets of wires. Keep the Orange/White from the charge port to the batteries as you need it to balance them.

I love my set up - works great.

Why remove the orange/white wire? Is there somewhere I can read up on this as not to hijack the thread? Like I said, I use a BatShare in most of my current planes, but at 30 something bucks a shot, .....

On the receiver thats the output to the servo. On the battery it must be the center tap, or the lower battery voltage used for balance charging.

Not sure about the H9 P-47, they usually have a very good product. I have the Top Flite 60 size P-47, running the OS95V, and it flies great. After assembly, balanced perfect with no weight added. Retract servo took some work to get it right though. You need to read the assembly threads if you get the Top Flite. All in all, a very good warbird, so good I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a warbird trainer.
