How many folks here own right now multiple P-47s? I have my .60 size and my 30cc should be airworthy in a month or two.

Default Multiple Thunderbolts

I currently have two P-47's both bubbletops. One is a bone stock FMS 1400mm 55" Electric ("Spirit of Atlantic City"), The other is a fiberglass one about 6' WS. Not positive who actually makes it. Kind of looks like an old version of the Nitroplanes one. The 55" I will be making some astetic changes to (see the pic) plus redoing the ugly machine guns before I either weather it or change the scheme completely. The 6' one I will be doing the same to, haven't decided on an engine for it yet but most likely a .90 or 1.20 OS.

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I have 4: A large and small Top Flite and a large and small Hangar 9. The Top Flites have DLE 20/55, and the H-9's have an RCGF 20 and an Evolution 35cc.

P-47's really fly good.

I have my first ever warbird, a HK Durafly P-47 ( which I still fly on occasion when I don't want to wait in line at the field, I just go to the school next door)' a 60 size TF, and a GS TF to build yet.

Oh ok I see, so here's what I'm gonna do now. I'll have 1 heavy duty switch for the ignition with a life source 6.6v 1300 mAh all on its own. Then I will have 1 life source 6.6v 2100 mAh battery connected to a switch. Then that switch would be connected to bat share. Then I could have another switch connected to another life source 6.6v 2100 mAh battery, which will also connect to that batt share. Think that will be ok?

That will work, but the Batshare is not a requirement.

No but it is nice to have in the plane, connect both batteries to it, and it distributes the power from both batteries evenly throughout the plane, if one fails, you got the other battery

I have the following;

  • 1 - Bud Nosen 1/4 Scale P-47
  • 2 - Top Flite GS P-47 ARFs
  • 1 - 80" WS foam sheeted wing & built up fuse and tail (Manufacture is unknown)
  • 1 - Parkzone P-47
  • 1 - Had a Hangar 9 150 size P-47... (May She Rest In Peace)

You can NEVER have too many P-47s in your hangar

Brothers,

I posted these early on in the thread; however I thought I should share them again for anyone that might have missed them!

Cub - where did you get those drawings, they are great! Did you make them or find then on a website? Do you know if they have other planes?

Thanks

You have the same thing with a parallel setup without the added expense or complications, but to each his own as they say.

1. Airfleld Razor Back Foam 1400mm
2. Horizon Hobby's Hangar 9 Brand P-47 .60 sized
3. Dynam RC P-47D Thunderbolt ARF from Nitroplanes.com HUN HUNTER XVI
4. Top flight 2.1 GS P-47D Storpped and re covered as a late model used in northern Italy i944-45
DLE 55rRA powered
5. Hanger 9 P-47D Thunderbolt 150 w/Retracts ARF & 50cc CRRC gas
6 Top Flite 2.1 GS P-47 ARF TAR HEEL HALL w/ G62 for power.

Possibly purchasing another TF GS P-47 Tar Heel Hal w/ DLE 55RA TarHeel Hall never flown in Texas
on way back to Wisconsin in April.
Really NEED another plane but there is just something about owning another R/C Plane.
Man wouldn't if U could fly 2,3 or 4 RC planes in formation off one Xmitter. Ain't there some way to get
3 planes to follow the leader. maybe lasers or something like that. Had a friend that put mettle rods thru
4 F-4 Phantoms with Electric in a diamond pattern but it didn't fly well.
