Here is the #514 Sullivan cable run through the compartment and into the area behind the instrument panel.
Other things in the picture are the (6) batteries, ignition for the Moki radial, air tank for the main gear doors, the electronic air valve, control box for the electric gear, back of the fuel dot, rails where the fuel tank will be mounted, and a couple of the JR remote RXs.

It's funny how some things can trigger good ideas. I am not sure the length of our runway but it is plenty for any model airplane out there these days. No trees, no wires, it is a wonderful place to fly. You can fly off of pavement or grass. I was going to take my 50% Smith Miniplane to Muncie to fly but when we got this field there was no need to do that. We are in the midst of a club web site change but this will give you an idea. http://www.siferc.com/our-field.html
Here is a picture from one of the flight stations looking south.

Wow! What a great runway!! I'll have to keep this in mind.
Sorry, a little off topic. Back to P-47s.
Here is my P-47 on a dead stick at the full scale Cleveland National Air Show last summer. No time to get the gear down. Didn't want to use the flaps and risk them against the tarmac. 8000' so I just used the elevator to break it a little.
Return line on the pump for the radial popped off and pumped the tank dry. Notice where the prop stopped, perfect! Just a little aluminum scraped on the belly pan.

Nice work Gary, im sure many modellers are learning from your videos at present.
With this level of scale realism what engine are you installing?
Cheers Bk

Here is my hatch release system on the main hatch of my P-47. It is the largest scale hatch on the P-47 and it is on the right side just behind the cockpit. It was where the oxygen tanks were kept. I use it for everything but the fuel dot. That is under the much smaller scale fuel hatch on the nose.

All depends on where you fly, DLE 55 wont make 96db without a canister muffler, i hear desert aircraft do mufflers that make them a little quieter.
im in the process of making a custom muffler to put a DLE 55 into a Hangar 9 p47, we want a muffler in the cowl to get it under 96 db.

If you want yo do a build thread just pick your place. I.e. Kit build or warbirds and click on the post a new thread at the top of the page, easy as pie.
