We do foil finishes, and well appreciate the work it takes. No doubt why I especially enjoy seeing planes done this way. We will soon be doing another 102" Meister in all aluminum again. They look so good that way.

Thanks... Curious to know What does it cost to have you build a project like a meister P47

I just scored a C. A. P. P-47 Kit (partially assembled a long time ago), in an estate sale. I have the plans, although they are a bit fragile. The fuse is built and sheeted. The wing is built, but not sheeted. I am missing the control surfaces in the built up parts. It has Wing lead-screw retracts with shock absorbing gear legs, and a nice glass cowl. Also a retracting tail wheel gear, and nice pilot figure. Pictures to follow.
I plan to complete this model and fly it with a Saito 120 FS. Is this too much engine? I have a Saito .56 and a Saito 1.00, and a YS 120, but the 1.00 and YS 1.20 are in other planes right now. I would rather use a 4 stroke, but I also have Several .61s, including a Kraft K61, and a Merco .61. I also have a Super Tigre .90 and an ASP 1.09. I would appreciate any inputs on both the plane and engine recommendations. I thank you for your comments and look forward to additional information.

Also, I would like to become a member of the P-47 Thunderbolt Brotherhood. Thank you.

Sincerely, Richard

Midastouch,

I love the Aluminum work on your P-47. By pure chance I was able to add a RazorBack to my fleet. Very Happy it is a well built Ziroli that I'm excited to get into the air next to my Top Flight.

Price for Meister P 47 depend of quality of the parts you install.

In my model I use Hitec 645 MG servos, Siera Landing gears, Evolution 80 GX engine, Robart Pneumatic system, Robart wheels...

My friend paint me a model and all prepare for painting I made myself. Also, all sets (Mirce Finish Set, Detail Set, paint masc, many rivets) was free, because I made it...

On the other hand, I must paying high price for shipping and customs for many parts I bought around the world.
So, cost was between 3,500 - 4,000$

For all P 47 builders, all sets for surface on model are still available. Check: www.nsmodelers.rs

Best regards

Mirce

The fellow handling the Brotherhood numbers hasn't signed in since last M
Nov. Just consider yourself a member and maybe P-47 Brotherhood #1 will catch up in the future.

I would appreciate any inputs or comments, and I especially thank Chad Veich for the help from him on the plans.

Thank you very much.

I would go over all the joints with thin CA. Old glue joints can crack and let go.

With the gate keeper a wall why not just assign your own numbers? Or is the thread dead?

The thread is not dead, some no's were assigned early in the thread. With all the new arf's comming out, I think things will pick up.

Most excellent recommendation. Thank you very much. I see no evidence of Ambroid, Duco, or Titebond in/on the joints, so I am thinking thin CA must have initially been used. A going-over is definitely in order. Thanks again.

Few years ago, after about 200 flights, I sold my Top Flite P 47 to my friend Gabor. We flew Thunderbolt two years ago last time, and after that model was standing in his workshop.

Here is video how Zenoah G62 start immediately and work well after two years of sleep...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuQYDYyxv-A

On Zenoah is custom made exhaust, which made my other friend. The aim was to put him under cowl.

More about that model you can find here: http://www.nsmodelers.rs/warbirds/th...lt---top-flite
OK, text is on our language, but pictures told 1000 words...

G62 you can't killed them unless you auger them into the ground at full power and bend the crank. I love them!
