[QUOTE=HoundDog;12060771]Your budy Tom's last name wouldn't begin with a "K" would.
U going to the electrons flyin Saturday or taking your Bird to the
War Birds and Classic In St Charles Ill. Friday looks good but
Yes, that was Tom Kunath. He will be flying the Jug again on Saturday. Tom flies Snoopy to my Red Baron.
Our club The Flying Electrons's charity event is Sat.
Saturdays forecast for Milwaukee is:
Sunny, with a high near 74. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph
Come fly with us.

Looking for information on a Jug I picked up in trade. I have a P-47 that I acquired from a friend it is about 69.5" WS with a fiberglass fuse. I have no idea (and can no identifying marks on the plane) who manufactured it. Any help you can give me would be great. The planes can be seen on my Flickr sitehttps://www.flickr.com/photos/pekinr...57647693320130 /I do have a couple guesses on the P-47 possible one of these two.

Looks really nice Ed. The one I built was right around 17-17.5 pounds which seems to be about the norm. They fly great at that weight although I am a firm believer that it would not be too difficult to remove a pound or two from the design without working too hard. I think Mr. Ziroli was still stuck in the giant scale mind set when he designed this smaller model as it seems to be a lot more, shall we say "robust", then is really necessary.

Hi Gary,
On page 54 of this thread you posted a pick of your Moki 150 with a prop hub nut that has a small extention on it. Did you have that made or did you purchase it from a vendor? By the way, I have fitted a Moki 180 in my Byron/Iron Bay T-28 Trojan.
Thanks
Craig

Been planning a build of the T/F G/S P-47 for a while now, and have a question about the flaps.
Has anyone been able to use the Robart Fowler flap hinges in this model? Does it require major mods, or will they even work?
I have a set I have been hoarding for a long time, and it's time to find a good home for them.

Three years ago i sold my Top Flite P 47 to my friend.
Finally, today he made first solo flight...
Until now Thunderbolt have about 150 flights, engine is Zenoah G 62 with custom made exhaust, propeller is 22x10, Robart pneumatic and retracts system, Futaba radio and servos...
Congratulaton Gabor...

Hi TLH101 : aka Terry
When I built mine I don't remember them being available, but with proper pre planning I do think they would work, that said I would look into some type of liner actuator, I don't think a rotary servo even with a long arm would work.
But that is just me.
Cheers Bob T
