So..... Those retracts drop in,no major mods required? Trimming around the air cylinders is sometimes required with Robarts. This is the way I will go also.

From what I can tell the only thing required will be to grind a little bit where the air cylinder goes into the rib and just a slight amount for the mount plate. Looks like very little trimming.

You stated that the Sierra Wheels were $100/pair, right? heck that's cheaper than Robarts recommended ones through Tower Hobbies at $138/pair. A quick question about the Sierra Wheels, would you say they were Shock Absorbing/Lo-Bounce, or Rigid and Stiff?

Yeah the wheels were $100 for the pair, these came with dubro 5" tires. Soometimes his wheels come with robart goodyear tires but I would imagine a zero would look wierd with goodyear tires lol. They seem like they will work just fine. As for bouncing I dont know, the only time I bounced a warbird on landing was with robart retracts. When I put the sierras in my p47 it was almost like the tires had velcro on them. Very good gear.

Yeah I cant wait to get started on mine either. Still waiting on a few things to come in the mail. Going sport scale on this one with the sierra gear and wheels. dynamic balsa cockpit and best pilot. Should be pretty nice but not too nice where I wont want to fly it. Power should be plenty with a dle61 and jtech wraparound pitts.

I'm thinking on the 61 as well...kind of hard to talk myself into it though with a perfect dl50 on the shelf...but the 61 would be killer!

Yeah my plan is to break it in with a 23x8 and then go to a falcon 22x11. Ran that prop on an OS GT60 in my giant p47 and was really fast. For fly ins and extreme speed the apc 20x15 T6 will go on and push it well over 140 MPH.
