Thanks for taking me in. Just pre-ordered this: http://www.motionrc.com/rochobby-p-3...-wingspan-pnp/

I know it's kind of small but I just couldn't resist that Cobra II livery. There's a thread about it on RCG.

Hopefully, mine is too. I ordered from Diamond and if they are drop-shipped from Motion, it should be on the way.

Mine too. I notice you're from Mesa, AZ. Does SWRA still have warbird racing going on? I was the CD of the first two races at El Paso, TX ( really at Horizon City). Looong time ago.

isn't that the Palm Springs Museum? That P-63 was just at the Planes of Fame air show in Chino on the first weekend in May. Also, I don't think they fly their a/c at the Pima Air Museum.

Did you get any pics of the P-63E that Pima has in their collection. It's the all silver one. They also just finished restoration of their P-39 also. Both are real looker's

Hi Charley. I raced at Horizon City in 1998. I won the Gold Total points championship that year. My son Billy won the Silver Championship the same year racing a P-39 built by Tom Shambaugh. What I remember most about racing there was Randy's brisket....hahahahahaha.

Here in AZ they do kind of still have SWRA racing. It is a one day event now. No static judging, just racing. Similiar wing area to c.i. displacement rules. Still lots of fun.

My son and I happened to stop by the Palm Springs museum a few years back. We were coming from the Scale Masters championship in Hemit. We so lucked out. They had triple ace Clarence "Bud" Anderson there. We got to meet him, take pictures and he signed a copy of his book for me. They just happened to by flying the P-63 that same day we were there. All in all a pretty damn good day. That thing was so cool on the long low passes right out side of the museum.

You sure that was Pima Jerry? In Tucson? I noted in another thread that you posted pics of the P-47 at Palm Springs so I am thinking maybe you are confusing Pima and Palm Springs. Below is a picture of the Kingcobra on display at Pima.

Try it it a semi. Those morons would rather be run over by a truck, than sit behind one. I've lost count of the number of idiots that tried to commit suicide on the front of my truck.
And, can we start a national PSA campaign explaining what on ramps/acceleration lanes are for?

I am trying to figure out how to set a 50cc gas powered model with retractable tricycle landing gear and I expect that all you P-39 guys must know how to do it. How do you fit the nose gear, ignition module and battery and nose gear servo up in front of the wing? Thanks, Dan

To begin with I'd need to know which airplane model it is.

Charlie, the model will be my own design configured like a P-39. I can not figure out how to get all the components behind the firewall that I would need for a retractable nose gear. I assumed that this has been figured out for the P-39 models I’ve seen around. One or two examples would help. Dan.
