Default CMP BF 109 on sale at Nitroplanes!

I just ordered a new CMP 109 from Nitroplanes, shipped for $199.00. They are offering a "Winter" discount of 20% off the normal price of $207 (enter winter20 in the promo code box...good until 3/15/14. Hell-of-a deal on an ARF that lends itself well to a nice bash and may not be around much longer. By the way, do not use the stock back-plate...they have a history of failure!

Nice, I have one finally biffed it on a take off error. I have the fuse to another one and a wing from the ESM 109E model. Sort of a mix n match. The wing fits but it has reg flaps and the squared off wingtips. I guess I could use the rounded tips from the biffed 109. It flew real nice, had at least 50+ flights on it. must have been a pilot issue

I like your bash on this one. I had to bash mine too

Very nice! What motor would you use? I just dropped in a DLE 35ra. It rips! I figured I'd get another airframe...just in case. I really love the way this plane fly's and it lands easy to boot! Is that a H9 150 'Stang' in the pic? I got one of those too...both planes are my stand-ready flyers!

Thanks, I used a Saito 150 which survived the biffing. I would like to put a gasser in the replacement plane. Yeah that's a H9 P-51. It is the first version with the larger wing. I got the plane from a fellow modeler who lost it in the river nearby. I rebuilt the fuse and found the 80 inch wing on line.

My first CMP 109 had a Saito 150 in it as well. I lost the whole shebang in a mid-air with some electric contraption. Even the engine was destroyed! I bought a second one, used and ended up putting an RCG 26 in it. Flew OK but still needed a bit more zip. The DLE 35ra is the perfect powerplant for this plane, wicked fast even with the 18x12 break-in prop! Once the engine is broken in it may be super-sonic!
