I've been trying to get as many pilots with their planes to personalize the pictures.
Mike with his F4B.
Jeff with his huge northwestern and 10' P-47.
The corsairs usually flew in a 3-5 gaggle group.
Brian's huge 164" P-47.
Mark and his B-17.
Wayne spotting for Brian.

Dean with his byron T-28.
The third B-17.
Chuck with is P-35.
Thursday: more like a scheduled flyin day with lots of planes in the air. Usually 4-6 planes in the air from 8 am until 5 pm.
Scott with his jet.

Americana:
Traveled 1800 miles and most of it rolling hills with corn, soy beans and more corn and soy beans. So flat that the railroads have arrow straight track.
I think these are bridges over the Mississippi river with bulk shipment of cargo on barges.

Warbirds and classics over the midwest at Fond du lac, Wisconsin.
Miles: from Owatonna, Minn : 280 miles and then 530 to get home.
300' wide by 1400' long: a 3-mistake field: can make 3 mistakes and still land safely.
Some of the finest people, along with Owatonna, that one can meet. It must be the long, cold winters up there that makes them so friendly.
Carl doing some 'Forrest Gump' work!
The keystone cops: 6 guys, at least two with engineering degrees, trying to open a folding chair. After about 15 minutes: Eureka!
