Sept 21, wings of war at GCRCC club in Trenton, Ohio
Miles: 15
A 550' paved and grass runway.
It was pretty windy (15-25 mph) so only about 5 of us flew and by the time I remembered to take some pictures, after lunch, pilots were packed up due to the strong winds. I got two flights in and, with the wind, it made landing tricky.

Sept 26-28, Dayton dawn patrol at Wright pat air force base museum at Dayton, Ohio.
Miles: 40
The flyin was behind the air force museum along their 5k foot runway. We, as well as the full size WW I planes, used the grass strips.
There were about 25 full size WW I planes and around 80 RC pilots with lots of great looking planes.
There were about four 1/2 scale and the bulk of the rest were 1/3 scale and just about everyone had a different paint scheme.
Flying time was divided between full size and rc planes. Old cars from that era were also there. Many period dress people were also there with tents and other paraaphanalia, guns, uniforms, etc.
Blue skies all week with upper 70's temp.

Winter storage
With only two flyins left (Mac's rally of the eagles and Frank's 12 O'clock high), it's time to start putting the planes in storage.
With 3 more planes built last winter, I got two more 36" wide hollow core interior doors and doubled the shelf size from last year.
They are in an unheated detached shop so they will be cocooned with plastic sheeting and light bulbs will be placed inside the sheeting to keep them warm during the winter.
