Oct 9-11, Rally of the Eagles at Mac Hodges field in Andersonville, Georgia.
miles: 640
1400' all fine cut grass by 400' wide full size runway. If not the best, one of the best fields that I have ever visited.
I got there on Tuesday to get lots of flying done. Brought five planes and flew all of them.
Merlyn's scratch build beech starship.

Oct 23-25, 12 O-clock high at Lakeland, Florida.
Miles: from Mac's place 350 miles, return home: 1000 miles.
The location changed from last years all grass field to an 800' asphalt runway with grass on the far side.
A good 70 pilots attended the meet. Clear, sunny days the entire time. The flight line kept very busy. Along with prop planes there were lots of jets (scale only) also flying. Two pilots went through 50 gallons of fuel during the 3 day meet. (meet renamed from last years monster planes flyin).
Scott was kind enough to let me stay at his house for the two weeks between the two meets.

Another flying season done.
It's been a good year. 25 meets from May to October, flew 10 different planes with only two dead sticks and went through about 30 gallons of fuel, got to see a lot of americana and met old friends and made some new ones.
Winter build projects:
Ziroli C-45.
Ziroli P-51B.
Ziroli 92" P-47.
