Default Installing Robart #148 rotating retracts in a Skyshark 82 in. P 40

I just picked up a Skyshark 82 in. P 40 kit The kit calls for Century Jet retracts and also Sierra makes a set for the kit. I'm not a big fan of CJ retracts and I couldn't afford the Sierra so I decide to install a set of Robart 148's which I had hanging around. This takes some engineering but is not that difficult. The mounts on the wing have to be removed. I removed all the plywood and the 3 doublers on each side that support the previous retract mount. All I had left was the two wing ribs that I will build the new mounts on.

That's interesting. I had Sierra's in my Skyshark P-40, lost the plane to poor battery maintenance and now the retracts are in a Top Flite Corsair!
