Some local hardware stores carry them. Or you can get them from Mc Master Carr. There are several other venders.

Chris thanks,
I remember reading somewhere in the thread that people were using the stand off's that for the DLE 35???? Supposedly using those standoffs along with the DLE 55ra provided the correct distance 158mm??? for the DLE 55ra to adapt perfectly to the H9 Mustang.

P-51D Glamorous Glen III
While researching the squadron markings of Gen. Chuck Yeager's P-51D 'Glamorus Glen III', I found this plane which has the same markings but appears to have the right wing sawn off the way most military fighters were demilitarized after their active duty was completed and they were to be scrapped.
Anyone know the story behind this particular warbird?

well I just sent back my Christmas present to horizon. The great FedEx truck busted the vertical stab in shipping. Horizon says there going to replace it. I hope so. this is my first experience with purchasing anything from them.

The name on the side is glamorous glen III I think this is the p-51 that jack roush owns the reason I say that is the van in the background is 70-80's and it has an N number under where the stab would be and his p-51 has been in the same marking for a while way before he bought it. He has had it re painted a couple times. The wing on the p-51 comes off just like in the pic. I've seen several pics of p-51s stored like this.

Me, on the other hand, have no idea what you are talking about. Have several hundred flights on mine, no issues with covering or wing tubes - fit together like a glove when I got it and just required minimal touch up with a heat gun.

I bought two of them and my brother bought one. All 3 had the same wing tube problem. Horizon sent my brother a good center section that fixed his problem, they asked for pictures of my problem-which I sent to them, but they never replied to my inquiries after that. I cut into both wings and repaired the tubes myself.
While this was going on I also bought a P-47 Razorback from Tower that came with a defective horizontal stab (a tube problem). An email to Tower got me a new stab within a week. The new stab also had a tube problem, but I was able to repair it myself.
The tube problem with both of my H9 Mustangs was-the rear tube was glued in with the inboard end 1/4 inch out of alignment on the right side of the center section. The second plane also had excess resin inside of the front fiberglass tube of the right tip section. I made a special tool to chuck into my 1/2 inch drill motor and after several hours of running the tool in and out I was able to force the aluminum tube in all the way. It will never come out again-too tight. The second plane also had aileron and flap hinges that were not properly glued in, they fell out of the wings during unpacking. Some loose parts are sealed inside forever. Another tube problem is that the rear tube on one side is slightly too long, but that is easy to fix. Flap hinge alignment was terrible, I had to remove the fiberglass hinge parts and realign them. It was easy to remove them, the factory did not rough up the gluing surface before installing the hinge blades so all it took was a little wiggle and the flap hinges came right out.
Both of my H9 Mustangs are the best flying warbirds I have ever had the pleasure to operate, but my experiences with ARF quality turned me back to kit building, I am constructing a Jerry Bates P-51B with a fiberglass fuse from Vic Catalasan.
