Nice that you have the individual ribs numbered!

Wow
You're building a wing without a jig or washout tabs?

Rumen,
I was referring to the photo you posted, looks like the wing is only supported under rib 11 with a foam block. Will it have the correct twist?

So, w1nd6urfa is surprised that the wing is built without supporting everything firmly. No tabs from every rib to a flat building table, or rods supporting every rib.

People have built smaller laser cut models practically in their hands: no support. And the result is straight.
Maybe laser cut parts with good tolerances help you get straight structures. And jigs or tabs are not needed?
If your parts are perfect, a jig or table that is NOT perfect could give a twisted structure.

edit:
below, fokke shows that the ribs have tabs (legs).
Flat surface is needed

Hi guys , sorry for this late answer
The ribs of wing have "legs" . My friend send me pictures of his progress, but I don't have pictures from this step of building I post the next stage with assembling of halves of wings , because he will build the wing of one piece !
On the several first Spitfires I don't have legs but this is not so big problem , becaus on the flat surface I can assemmbling them with no problem with simple shipway

This is the Spitfire ribs , when you assemmbling thay myst to be on flat surface

Here is mu FW 190 assemmbling of wing , you can see the same method od building

Hey Fokke,

I see the pic of the Avia on your wall. Will you be doing a kit of the B35 or 135 after you current projects?

But B-35 is almost the same thing. Biggest difference is fixed landing gear.

Have some differences

The Avia B.135 (RLM designation Av-135) was a Czechoslovak cantilever monoplane fighter aircraft. It was the production version of the Avia B.35 developed shortly before the war, based on the B.35/3 prototype but featuring a new all-metal wing.

I like that plane , have a nice facelift

Great Thanks!! The early version had a more elliptical leading edge on the wing. I'm always looking for Czech based subjects but the later is a much better looking aircraft with the retracts and straighter leading edge.

When when you get there maybe 2 wing choices??? lol.

Sorry to to go off topic. Thanks for all your great work!

Joe

For building, you need a little space where you are allowed to make dust, and can leave fragile items unattended without fearing that a cat or woman will clear the mess...

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I do have a cat and Very limited space. My skills are lacking and I can't paint. Once my roommate moves I will have a bedroom available. Right now i assemble ARF's in my living room and every room in the house has airplane parts stashed in them.

Ramstein44 I will give your offer some serious thought. Tax season is here and am just waiting on my return.
