Default Ziroli P51 construction query

I've been lucky enough to purchase a Ziroli Mustang from an estate sale. No plans, construction complete close to the point of being ready for final sanding before glassing and fitting, out after a bit of tidying up.
My question is about the fuselage belly pan (or its absence) under the front of the wing. The wing dowel fits into F3, the plan I found on the web shows the line of the fuselage belly continues along the underside of the wing but the few pictures I can find seem to show that most builders just leave a step at F3. Any advice?
The wheel wells need some prettying up too!

Well I've never built that plane and don't know much about P51s but you could get a 3 view and see what it's supposed to look like easy enough. If I were to finish that plane out I would just fill the low area in on the underside of the wing and blend it in with the front of the fuse. I've done that lots of times with sport planes.

Im building one now and am at the same point almos6. My plan is to just use balsa blocks glued to wing and start carving and sanding till it looks correct. There is no real help from the plans. There are plenty of pictures around to see what it should look like.
