OK, I have the 2 internal fuse box sides all framed up. Here I have flipped the fuse box sides upside down and added Formers F1-D and F2 to temporarily hold it together and in place. I will domost of the fuse work with the plan upside down on the building table. It is now starting to look like an airplane. I now need to make the firewall and then I can add the top and bottom spanner pieces to the fuse box. Next step will then be to add the side and bottom quarter formers. I can already see that, much like the wing ribs, the fuse quarter side formers are mostly either too long or too short. Same applies to the standard 85 inch plans I used. I will have to custom fit each one and alter as necessary. These plans are so far from accurate. Numerous errors between the side view and the planform view, and the prts templates. It reminds me of what I saw on Pepino plans.

Very nice work!! I use 1/8" Lite ply and laser cut the whole side including the aft end on my 1:4 scale SR-9 and Curtiss F11C-2 Goshawk! There is more then enough spring in them to draw them together at the tail. I think I might try it with 1/4" Lite ply just for a reference.

OK, not much progress on the Vindicator the last few days. I have spent the last couple of days installing one of these babies inmy garage. My wife actually talked me into it. She's great! Very cold here already in late November/early December. I told the wife she may never get me out of the garage now.

Thanks. I have a big set of rotators from Sierra that came out of my old 13 foot Corsair, that met its demise in 2006.

Way cool!! My next project is a 1:5 scale TBM Avenger. I did not realize how big this bird is till I realize that at 1:4 scale it was not to much smaller then my 1:4 scale B-25J. Have the wing hinges figured out, but the components to do it have escaped me so far, but it has been a couple of years sense I did the original search.

Moving right along, I have the forward sheeting installed on both sides of the forward fuselage. Most of the stringers (longerons) are installed. I am currently adding the solid upper turtle deck and the rear cockpit floor. I was considering open partial/full cockpit. However, I have decided to go with just minimal pilot busts and dash panels. In the air, you don't really see it. And, as ole Lenny from the Bayou always said: "It don't make it go no fasta". In the next series of pictures, the fuse will be completed and I will have the massive fiberglass cowling trial fit. The cowl was made by my buddy, Jeff Micko, on a goods for labor swap. He does some of the best glass work you will see. He lays up all the parts for the Dave Andersen designs.

Its gonna be fun to see this one up close ... This plane always says flying armor to me..its just such a bulky solid airplane it really doesn't look flight capable.. that is probably what makes it such a cool plane to see in the air.

Ho Ho HO, is the season to be jolly!! That is nice who LG? Fuselage looks good to there in the back ground. I guess it will be after the first of the year before the builder can get back to building the B-25J design. We are waiting on composites.
