I dont have any three views for the 152 that show i. They all show it overall RLM 76, or whatever code the sky blue is.
I do remember reading in a few books that aft of the main spar was bare metal, along with the wheel wells. The wheel wells on the survivor are clearly not bare metal, but they also arent the typical interior color for german aircraft either, so im inclined to believe they were painted by its captors later on.

Yah, the color sprayed in areas of the captured TA looks like a chromate. As it could vary in shade to a large degree so I have been told.
I just purchased a color chip book, that is approved by the scale board for competition. Interesting how different the colors vary from book to book. This color chip book I have, is what the judges are using to define a particular color. I am glad I got clued in to this, as the paint that I had lined up for my project, was not close to the chips I will use for competition.
I am gathering all of these things now, paint, nomenclature, and paint masks. Although fairly simple, I am going to drop the money for get stencils to do my paint masks to save time.

All the molds have been prepped with the frekote mold release and all but the spinner mold had a coat of primer put in.
While the primer dried, i finished the horizontal stabs by adding the 1/2" TE piece for the hinge gap covers, then capped all of the areas thst would be exposed after glassing with .010 and .005" G-10.
Then they were glassed and peel ply applied (no photo).
I also did all of this stuff:
Cowl:
Supercharger scoop:
Canopy and gun hood:
I have to be up at 4am for work, so ill pull some peel ply and pop the gun hood out and post up a photo in the AM.

Nope, just worked the metal. You've got to anneal it to get it soft enough to work, then you have to cut a panel about 1/2" larger all the way around so as to keep it small enough to work without wrinkles, but large enough to cover the area. It also has to be done in gwo pieces, just like the real one.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I will give it a go tonight.
