Default Aligning Wheels

How do you guys ensure your main wheels( on tail draggers) are true straight /aligned/tracking straight? Ive always just eyeballed mine, but there's got to be a better way.
Maybe a rectangular guide with the width of the main mounts?
Please share your tricks/solutions.

Thanks all!
Mike

Not that critical, actually you want them to have a slight tow in than out or perfectly straight. I fly off grass and always keep mine towed in and it's never a problem.

Thanks RB. I fly on grass too. Ive posted in RCGroups and the mentioned the toe in as well.

Here's what Im thinking also. Measure the distance between the main mounts and make a rectangle on the floor(as the picture below) with that distance being the shorter legs of the rectangle and eye the wheels with that.

I tape 24" long thin carbon fiber rods to the outside of each wheel hub and you will then be able to see and set any alignment angle that you like. This enables one to stand over the plane, i.e., on a step stool looking down from the top, or from the front of the plane, standing back 10-15 feet. Makes it easy to see the alignment.

That's a great idea Ed! Thanks. I might just use that :-)
