I am back on Spitfire. Here are some resin parts designed for cockpit. I added also the fuel tank filler cap and caps for US warbirds.

Yes, I have Shayne. There are available some other items: exhaust stacks, antenna mast, voltage regulator, gunsight, control trim horns, cowl, spinner, canopy, air scoop, cannon blisters, cannon stubs. Maybe I forgot some item. Im going to make full scale cockpit and next year I would like to make a FG fuselage.

Taylors plans are very scale, maybe the best Spitfire Ive seen. But when I compare some parts still see some differents. I would like to be accurate as it is possible, so I work on my own plans for some parts. Here is sample of the rudder.

Rudder plans are almost completed. Next I will prepare them for early rudder design. That is the green line. There are marked the positions of hinges and scale rudder hinge axis. It will be possible to make it scale or easier way. Someone doesnt know, where should be the trim horns, I draw it in the plan.

Here are the plans for the round shape ruder. Rudders and elevators of many models are quite bigger than it should be. Also the BTs rudder is quite bigger. I will mark the right scale size and shape. The blue line in the picture is the real shape.

What a suprise. The stab and elevator size and main shape is almost same like the real. Red line BT plans, the blue line is the origin Spitfire Mk.IX

Lets see last news. The throttle quadrant kit is done. The cockpit kit will include also that small kit. The throttle quadrant will be available probably at the end of August. I hope you will like it.

Excellent work! On my Spitfire I re-checked all dimensions with Momforton 3 views to be accurate.

Do you still make the 125mm spinners?

Not to distract from Prekin's impressive work, but I wanted to share some BT 83" Spitfire composite parts that I have been building, from the Monforton book dimensions, CAD designed and 3D printed plugs.

Up next are to make the composite ailerons.

Build thread over on the RCSB site;

Im very happy, that after half of the year I finished the pilots seat. The main part of the seat and mounting is done and available. Now Im going to add details as flares box.
The seat will be small kit in the cockpit kit.

Probably you are thinking, why Im doing Minion. But, be sure, also that "Minion" is a part of Spitfire cockpit. A large pressure bottle for emergency extension of the landing gear. Master is almost done. The bottle will come with the mounting belts.

Here are pictures of the new reflection gunsight Mk.II. That one you can also in some P-47 Razorback cockpit. I suppose that one would work with TopFlite GS P-47 or Meister Scale.
Now Im finishing the master of large pressure bottle. It could be done tomorrow, then will be some molding.

Detailing of the pilot seat in progress. Leveling horn and bracket will be an extra part which will be included in the seat kit. That should ensure scale result.

Today Ive done the first new designed Reflector gunsight Mk.II. In the pictures you can see how they will come out ready made gunsights. Painted with some light weathering, label and sreen.

Some paiting today. Only the black base paint. The final painting and detailing I will do tomorrow. Im going to make some labels for the instruments and controllers. Not sure if water stencils or stickers labels. Any idea or experience?

Yesterday I finished the paint job of the chassis controller, morse key and voltage regulator. I know, the the parts of cockpit werent so weathered, but weathering helps to highlight some details. Well, if they should or shouldnt look like new depends only on the customers.

Some more painting today. Im not sure about the right colour of the joystick. Well there are two option- with the cockpit green or metal paint mounting. Be sure I will detail the control stick.
