It's proof that the TopRC Spit is very close to being perfect scale
It's one of the reasons I bought it, I was about to start building a kit from the Taylor plans, now there isn't much reason to do so

I have really enjyed ths plane. Since I will do a review in scandinavian I tried to build it with as little modifications as possible, and it works great. If I should wish for any modification I would suggest the following: - Hidden links all over. The large controlhorn and ouside links are just not ok for such a nice lady ;-). I can provide my suggested setup if the company like it. - Elevator linkage (from hidden link in middle of the elevators to have some guidance in the body to stop unwanted movements. - Smarter and more narrow wheeldoor fasteners - Finished canopy with clear glass. Difficult to fit the glass perfectly after the model is painted. - Pilot missing, difficult to find a light and good looking one. Maybe more but these ting would really improve this plane to an exceptionally nice warbird

Alf,
I am considering hidden linkages for the wing, rather than the elevators. I have done this mod on several other ARF's but it is a lot of work and requires to have access to the bare control surface (without sheeting and covering) to be able to re-engineer the hinges

The Spit aileron hinges are on the bottom of the surface and at about 20% of the aileron chord
That's doable, what is tough though is to re-shape the aileron airfoil
I'm still on the fence about this, looks too much work but on the other hand the Spit aileron is very sexy if done properly, hmm ...

Nice video Alf, that's a slippery bird! I guess the low weight helps specially in vertical maneuvres
I would be curious to see the slow speed / stall behaviour, how about that in your next video?

The bird is medium slippery but slows down easily with full flaps. No bad habbits at all. tall are slow and predictable. Will try some slowflight and stall video next time if the wind are smoother. Don`t like flying very slow in gusty weather...

I am interested in this airplane, but would like to know a little more about this company and the plane itself. Does anyone have pictures of the inside of the fuse with the hatch removed? Since the wheelwells are molded in, what size wheels and tires will fit in them? Will they have provisions with the kit (arf) for mounting batteries if you use an electric setup? Is there a TOPRC website?

Guys... Thanks for the replies and info. The retracts look an awful lot like the ESM sets that were brought out a few years back. Wasn't ESM going to do an 88" Mustang at one time? Will be interesting to see what more people have to say ,once the models come in.
