Default Seagull AT6 engine selection

My first post looking for some help. I just acquired a Seagull AT6 and want to install a gas engine. Kit calls for up to a 2.0 two stroke but firewall is set up with a 1.2 engine mount and boxes built for rudder and elevator servo mounting. I really want to put a gas motor in it 20 - 30cc. any one have experience or suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Chipper1000.

I don't have the Seagull version but have assembled both the Top Flite and the World Models AT-6's. Both have DLE 20's and are definitely well powered! One has the rear exhaust version and the installation was more difficult as a result of the muffler covering up the linkage. I would recommend the side exhaust version as there is plenty of room in the cowl to clear the stock muffler.
Neither needed additional nose weight for proper balance.
