BobH,
I have taken a dirty scuff pad to the plane to help high light some of the details and to give it just a slight dirty effect. Hope it's up to your satisfactions now. Lol!!!
I just don't want it to be a dirty mess..

So I discovered. In all actuality, if it weren't for the greater weight and landing speed of the Hellcat and the initial visibility issues with the Corsair, making them unsuitable for use on the CVEs(or carriers in general with the Corsair), the Wildcat would have gone out of production before the end of 1942.

Bough a used Wildcat and did my remaiden yesterday. Flew extremely well and was quite more floater than expected. The Moki 215 works good but got 140 degrees Celsius and I think that is well above what I like so need a baffling modification.

Congratulation Greg on successful maidens...
Your Wildcat is great, I have opportunity to see live Scot Prossen same F4F and that is some of best warbirds I ever see.
Wish you many good flights and enjoyment with new toy.

I didn't have enough exit opening at the cowl flap area's to get the heat out fast enough. So i just kept adding 1/4inch spacers to the motor mount and cowl mounts until it got happy. It ended up needing an additional 1/2 inch added
and a bit of chamfering done to the fire wall to get it right. And yes the paint has been repair on the fuselage already.
