It is a full composite ARF plane, a lot of details,Scale painted full-depth cockpit, scale exhaust, slipping canopy included,scale drop tank, Full and proper working landing gear doors front and rear included.

007....what are they using to operate the tail wheel doors? In your last pic it looks like a type of spring to pull the doors shut. Is this something you made or is designed into the kit? Could you show more of the front inner door workings, and how the wings fasten to the fuse? Keep those assembly pics coming, I am very interested in this model.

It is designed into the kit, the manufactor supplied the springs and the horns, the tail gear and the gear doors connect via springs, when the tail wheels get up, the tail wheel doors cover gets up too, the inner door covers will use the servo to operate them, see picture.

The quality of workmanship on this kit are very impressive, full composite construction, well prepainted, scale cockpit, drop tanks including, high completely. It is the best plane i ever built so far. The only shame is the rubbish manual instruction, but you can build it easily if you have build model career. I know there is a company named Gator-RC are selling this Brand planes in USA, their website is www.gator-rc.com

Mine just arrived and the airplane was about 99.5% perfect. Unfortunately, the cockpit and glare shield was broken into about 5 pieces. Not making an accusation here, but it looked liked it was broken before shipping and the parts were just thrown in the fuselage. I say this because of the ways the parts broke, -essentially the glue joints were pulled apart for the seat the sides, and the radio boxes. When I unpacked it, there was no way that they could have found themselves in the part of the fuselage where I found them and in placement I found them. Whatever, but should be a quick fix. The other thing that I just have to comment on is the pixelated graphic for the nose art on the side of the fuselage. Frankly, looks cheap. This is the same problem that the TopRC Caleus has with its graphics. That's another "oh well." Overall this is an impressive looking plane that teases us with it's near perfection... Just like the Caelus.

I just bought a DLE 55 RA with pitts muffler. Delivered tomorrow. That's what Mike said would fit and what is in the prototype. . It also looks like a DA50 will fit as well. The DLE measures out almost exactly with about 2mm clearance for the spinner. No pictures today, but I can try tomorrow. Family over now.

well barely made it to step one of the instructions and a couple of big challenges arose. Right out of the box I went for the wings and tried to move the ailerons and flaps. The ailerons on the left wing would move about 10 degrees up and only 1 or so degree down. Bottom line is that this aileron was binding pretty severely. The left flap was also binding and would only move in the downward position if pressed firmly. On the right wing the aileron had limited movement up and down and the right flap struggled with downward movement. No mater how I adjusted the hinges, the surfaces are binding. After some inspection I noted the following....
The hinge points were not aligned along the same axis. Some were above, others below centerline. This is causing the hinges to work against one another. One of the reasons I suspect is that the holes were drilled without the benefit of an alignment template. (simple $3 tool) In one case, the aileron attachment point was drilled and re-drilled in 3 places. (see picture) Most of the attachment points were drilled at least twice, with the bad hole being plugged. Some of these plugs were just scraps of balsa jammed in place. The end result is that I will have to repair and redrill nearly every hinge attachment point on the ailerons and flaps.
Here are some pictures of the problems.
Picture 1 shows a double drilled surface with plug

Picture 3 shows a double drilled surface with plug that extends out of the aileron
Picture 4 shows a double drilled surface with plugs
At this point I am a bit depressed over all the work that will have to go into repairing the control surfaces. The attachment points in the wing are a bit interesting and I will post some pictures when the repairs to the ailerons and flaps are done.

That is very frustrating, they could as well leave it without drilling hinge points. I am sure with a little effort you can fix it. I am wondering whether you are a victim of a friday afternoon production or this is the quality one should expect. From the photos of 007, his hinge points looks not too bad.

Well, the problem is a combination of the drilling in the ailerons and flaps and the mounting points in the wings. All the alignment is just off. Henry is sending me replacement ailerons and flaps, Well, I've had so many issues just with the wings that it has turned into a major project. I am so frustrated with this build that it is not funny. I am actually really sad. I don't even want to pick it up and continue building. Have a $1500 worth of motor, servos, etc. just sitting here. This is just such a unique way of arranging the hinge mounting points that what really needs to be done is that the wings need to be opened and those points adjusted. No chance.... Now what????
