2015 Dino DiGiorgio Sr. Memorial Warbird Event
Looking forward to another great year as this event continues to grow and attract pilots and builders from all over the U.S. Last year we had 64 Registered Pilots from 15 states. The weather is always nice this time of year in North Atlanta.
Together with Dino and Pedro, we are hoping to see many of you again at Georgia Model Aviators (GMA) world class venue on Nov. 5-7. WMWA Rules apply so there is no wingspan minimums.
This is a pilot event which means we make a big deal to make sure you enjoy your time, eat great food and have full access to flying as much as you want.
Tons of flying, Tons of give-aways, huge raffle with all proceeds going to American Lung Assoc. in the name of Dino Sr.
Military Jets are welcome. We have a 900 ft. paved runway that runs parallel to the groomed grass runway.
Go to www.rcflightdeck.com and just enter "dino" or "4705" in the search window and take a look, register and get on board!
We posted many pics from last year. This is a AMA Sanctioned event, Class C.
Keep em flying!

Rex,
We will just have to see if Pedro gets it done.
I was in contact with him yesterday on Sunday 9/13/15 and he had just received his landing gear. So there could be the possibility that he gets it done.
He just needs to crack the whip and get it done. As far as my motor issues, it appears that i have solved them so all i really have to do is grow a pair of (BALLS) to do the test flights on it.
Then i won't have any excuses not to come down and hang with my friends from Georgia!!!!

We are now 6 weeks out from this AWESOME event! Several are coming that have yet to regsister...
Registration is going well, with 22 registered pilots so far. I know we have a bunch more coming but as usual, we have slackers that wait till the last minute! Just a reminder, the 22 covered slots go to the first that pre-register AND PAY in full!
Also, if you have pre-registered on rcflightdeck.com and not paid yet, you cannot go back in and pay through the site. You can send in your payment direct to our club paypal account [email protected], putting "warbird event" in the note section and what you are paying for. Be sure and add 3% to your total to cover the fee. I will enter your payment through the event portal myself.
If you have not pre-registered, go to rcflightdeck.com today! Enter "Dino" under search and the event will come right up.
Six weeks and counting down...

Two weeks out!!! We are at 31 Pre-registered pilots on RCflightdeck.com now. I know of at least 20 more coming that are just goobers for not pre-registering and coming. The weather has turned incredible here in North Atlanta...upper 60's during the day, upper 40's at night.
I am being told very few look on RCU anymore but will continue to update as we get closer and post pics during the event each day.

We are starting to add more pilots daily now...Will need to order the Ribeye Steaks this Monday for the Friday Night Pilot's Steak Dinner so PLEASE, your pre-registration will really help!
Also, let me know if you have any questions about hotels. I included some hotel options on rcflightdeck.com under "accommodations", that include phone numbers. Be sure and read my suggestions on which route you are coming in from to select the nearest hotel for your arrival and field access.

Some early Thursday pics...folks have been rolling in since last night. Clouds might be gray...but have had 7 years of blue skies...so one event with clouds isn't too bad. Hasn't held these folks back! Texas, Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, George, Louisiana, Alabama and Kentucky are here so far! Event officially starts at noon today and runs through Saturday.
