Its the larger version of the VQ new Dauntless . I have the smaller one and have also been waiting for this larger version.
My only concern is that VQ wood is not the best !

No Jerry, SVF has a low key Warbird event that weekend.
LDM yes the wood quality leaves something to be desired, although lazer cutting is outstanding .
All interior surfaces appear to have CA joints No lose joints visable . The interiors of fuselage/flaps is more like a "white wash"rather than a paint .some area's require prior experience in kit building, but Overall Its a KEEPER..

Ditto for James at JB Hobbies. He has been great to order from. All my orders have had great backup. I just received my most recent order of a Seagull Spitfire on the 5th. Upon inspection that evening I found sever damage to the vertical stab due to freight handling which would have required major reconstruction and finish. Sent photos that same evening (5th) and emailed to James (around 9:11 PM). Had a response from James that same night at 9:21pm. Received new fuselage today the 8th at noon. Wow - I'm impressed. Good service desires attention.

Yes I did get the factory retracts, They wrong scale wise as the strut should be on the inside with wheel on the outside . These work, but again NOT scale But for my standoff scale there DEAD NUTS on....
LDM the more I handle the structure,it requires some care as a few GLUE(ca) joints have opened .
As far as motor spacers 2" will not work .Need to be at 2.375 " at least to clear cowl .
Other than a few MINOR Issues , IMO its a Better than average ARF But the ACID test is how well it flys . Hopefully the batteries and receive arrive SOON.

What would happen if the struts were swapped to the other side?

VQ Wood was always suspect Joe. I had two P40ties and now the smaller Dauntless.
On my two P40ties I used Flite Skin to reinfroce all touch points , just my need to want a more solid feel .
We will do the same with my smaller Dauntless and this one when I make the purchase ,

Tailskid .. It's not as easy as swapping the struts, the retract motor (or Piston) is on the lower, than the strut, My Zirolli had Robart struts which are constructed just like the full scale,
Also for those who want the scale look the canopy is short of cross bracing between all top of all canopy glass . I just added a piece of tape where they would go.
