OK hard at work again we have decided to change the tail wheel retract operation and installation.
We have also decided to cut out the over lapping aluminum so we can install the the retract at a different angle, we have also removed the electric motor.

I have made new template with a piece of card box of the inside of the rear fuselage, After copying the template to a strong 4 layer lite ply wood, i have also cut out two pieces of lite ply to install and glue two M2 blind nuts to install tail wheel retract.

Looks like a Polo shirt i know, anyway after screwing on the two allen screws to through the retract onto the blind nuts, it's time to drill a little hole in the center of the ply to install the carbon fiber rod, this will let me control the retract from the front of the model, also it will help me later on with the CG buy having all the weight up front, and by installing a servo i can control the speed the tail wheel will be retracting up and down.

OK looking good. I have also installed the pull pull wires to the tail wheel ready for install.
It's just now a mutter of mixing some epoxy and installing it to the fuselage,

I have soldered a quick link to the end of the piano wire so i can then screw to the retract mechanism, and on the other side of the piano wire i have simply installed a Collete to the servo horn with allen screw to lock the piano wire.

Here you have the the tail wheel retract down and up, doesn't she look coll or what, she is now like the real thing the FW190 tail wheel when retracted only half of the wheel used to stay out.

Next step is installing the servo to control the throttle arm on the carburetor.
I have removed the exhaust and the carb from the engine and placed some masking tape, sow when i drill the hole to the firewall nothing falls into the engine.
I have had to cut of part of the stainless steel washer to make way for the control rod.
Here you have the control rod connected to the throttle arm on the carburetor.

In side the fuselage I have added to the servo horn a steel ball, and to the piano wire a ball link to control the throttle arm.
After some adjustment she seems to work fine so another job done.

After installing the rods in the fuselage for the the elevators, i have started to install the pull pull to the rudder, and at the same time added the pull pull to the tail wheel too.
Here you have the install of the rudder to the fuselage vertical fin.

Wow this bird is tough to balance on the 130mm COG. My setup is electric
Hacker Inrunner C50 14xL
10s, 5000 mAh lipos (two 5s packs)
Jeti 99 ESC
ESM gen IV electric retracts (heavy suckers)
3s, 2500mAH RX pack to a voltage regulator for RX and 5 servos
2s, 2200mAh retract pack
Jeti duplex RX 14 receiver
With the lipos up against the firewall it will not balance so I am exploring placing the packs under the cowl. This is a pain and will extend pre-flights and battery change times.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Francis....this is most definitely an ESM fw190. They gave made changes to their planes over the years. Some things just get slightly modified over time.
I have one exactly like yours.
Another example is the Me109E. I have one from when they were originally offered, and brown bought a 2ND 6 years later. The entire internal tail section/tail wheel setup is completely changed, but both came from ESM.
In any event....good job so far.
My 190 has a saito180 and I think mine weighs in at 18 pounds.

I don't recall there being any right thrust built into the firewall if that's what your asking about.
on mine. I simply put a couple washers behind the motor mount on the top left bolt(looking from the tail forwards).
