Another interesting engine choice is the DLA 64 inline twin but I'm not overly optimistic on the quality of the engine from what I have read online, just DLA in general.

If DA would make a 70 cc inline twin, I'd buy that in a heart beat.

It is made by More Power I have their 3 blade system it works really well on my Evo radial. Although hy we only $85 a few years ago. Not sure about the $240 price tag, I am not interested at that price.

I have finally got the engine to replace in my Mustang. Going from a DLE85cc to the RotoMotor 85cc inline twin. 4stroke .
I will have to make a firewall modification to accept the new motor.

Perfect choice! I have great experience with Mr. Cita. Now I have 4 Roto engines in my hangar.

Are You using a 4 bladed Prop on the torque pro 70 & if so what size can be used with this engine.

I used a 2 bladed prop 24x10 with the TP 70.
But now i fly with a DLE55 because the TP70 got very hot in the cowl.
Mine was very difficuly to set and had too much vibrations.

I have to TP70 also. In the Pitts it is working well with the 24x10 prop. I will be trying a 21 or 22" solo prop. A 22x8 or 20x10 4 blade should be ideal for this engine. P51? Have not decided on another TF or to try this TopRC out as of yet. Reading through post and trying to make a decision.

Reading through the thread... TIM... thank you for taking the time to post all the pictures and updates. After the H9 / Horizon disaster - It good to see all the positive and hopefully this one wont be discontinued in the near future.

I have followed DanL on FB build of a couple as well. Comfort level rising. LOL

Ordered the 60cc P51. Arrived with no cockpit. (Clearly says in video and features included). It is discontinued and not available. Yeah a hole under the canopy. They directed me to Dynamic Balsa to get one for an additional $125. Really? Already ordered accessories to customize etc. well long story short,,, they got it back. Bummed and pissed but a blessing because it's about to be discontinued. Waiting on money now ... I was so pissed off I had my attorney locked and loaded. LOL. DanL recommended this one a month ago when started shopping ... . He was rite. More I look (this page has helped that) the more I'm impressed. What sucked is my wife ordered it for an anniversary gift. Yikes!!! So she was hurt they screwed her over. Happy Wife = Happy Life LOL

WOHA! That is some story.
The only airplane I ever bought from Horizon is the 1/4 scale Super Cub which I completely stripped, re-covered with Sig Koverall and re-painted in a different scheme. I always felt that Horizon is extremely greed driven and discontinue products as soon as demand tapers off - leaving customers hanging when it comes to replacement parts.
I do have this P-51 kit and it sure looks like you are going to get your money worth with it. I would recommend it.

Thank You Top Gun & Thunderboat for your reply on the TP engine & Prop info. I think I will stay with my DLE 55 RA, & will use a 22x10 Prop. I also purchased a Beila 19x8 4 blade & will give it a try after the DLE is broken in. I have my fiend Kris Gunter (Gunnrad) starting my build, & would like the link to Dan L's Top RC P51 group on FB if someone can post it to help with the build.

Dan has it on his page Dan Landis and also go to Tower Hobbies FB page where they re posted.
Naturally with FaceBook here is a lot of scrolling through other stuff. Kind of a pain at times.

Pages of of interest would be
Tower Hobbies
Coastal Planes
balsa builders
RC Warbird Flyers

also Wally Warren is one who is trying Biela's and More Power adjustable 4 blade on the same engine for his P47

WOW, that is a good price. I just bought a NIB Gunfighter at Nall for $950 wish I had seen this earlier. Figured I would just build another one from scratch that way no retro fitting involved.
