Default Phoenix Models A-26 Invader

Just noticed this plane in the Tower ad in the new issue of Model Aviation. Looks pretty good. Not on the Tower website yet though. Looks like a really cool project. 92" wingspan, I believe and ready for either piston engines or electric motors. Anyone know where to get one?

Really. Really, really; right there on page 72. Surely I am not the only one who saw this new model. OBTW, 90.5 inch wingspan.

Yep. I think I will have to add one to my overcrowded hangar. Sure wish it was done in aluminum color instead of the gray. Guess I could strip it and make it another color if I really want to.

Yep , I just noticed yesterday and if you google it , you can see a flight video !
I just finished the Phonie Stinson and have the Lizzy in my hanger, for me the quality of Phoniex is outstanding especially when compared with the cost !
I cant wait to get this one , I am going electric powered !

The two 32 size epower motors that the Tower Techs suggested are rated at 7 lbs ( best case ) =14 lbs in total.
The plane is listed at 15lbs to 17lbs ?
Anyone have an epower suggestion ?
I would love to use either two 4 cell 4500 packs or jump to two 6 cell 60 size motors
I am not understanding the HV suggestion on the esc considering each motor will have its own set up ?
Also why do you need an 8 channel minimum TX ?
You have alerons =1, Flaps 1, rudder 1, retracts 1, electric motors 1 elevator 1, I am up to 6 channels in total considering all flaps are linked, the alerons are linked , the esc are linked , so what am I doing wrong ?

Not sure I would want the ESCs Y'd together on one channel for throttle. Also, it would be advantageous, but not absolutely necessary, to have the nose steering on a separate channel from the rudder allowing ground steering adjustments without messing up the rudder trim.

I will be using a 14 channel receiver and will not be using any wye connectors on mine. Being able to individually adjust everything is really nice.

I had a Hangar 9 B-25 and used Eflite Power .46s. Lots of power to spare. I am considering the same setup for the A26. The Power .46s will be quite happy on the 4 cell 4500s. I flew my B-25 for awhile on 4 cell packs. Later I switched over to 5 cell 5000ma packs which also worked quite well with these motors. If I go with these motors in the A-26, I will definitely use the 5 cell packs again.

Thanks Steve but I only have a 7 channel TX so does that mean I should pass up on this bird ? I have run two esc/ motors off of one y connector with zero issues.
In checking in on the eflight 46 again somewhat confusing info on max weight would come in around 14lbs.
When I do a 55 glow conversion I come in around a 700 or so KV so the 46 makes sense but the factory specs still limit the all up weight when you combine two.

How does she fly with DLE20? I´m wonderning if 2x RCGF15 would be enough powerful.

Much like her namesake she flies fine and as fast as any fighter at the field. She is a tad heavy so you need to FLY HER to the ground and only chop the throttles once you touch down, other wise you drop.

Amen to that! I found that out the hard way when I chopped the throttle too soon. I dropped very quickly. Moderate damage to the retract on one side and several of the wing ribs on both sides at the root.
