What did you wrap the exhaust ring with?Will that help it to run cooler in the cowl? or is that just for shipping?

I used material cut from the cowl for the hatches so they will have the correct curve in them

Swordson that's actually the plastic wrap on the ring...I won't wrap anything around it because the engine runs at less than moderate temps

Batteries came in today....I know, it's old school but I like em😎Two 5000 for the rx and one 4200 for the ignition

Some news about my La-7:

I add some paint job of small parts, the entire gear, and now I am to make weathering on the wings. This jobs are long to go, but the result is good.
I post you some pictures when i have finish the paint on the wings.

Thanks Warbird I'm getting excited now that the paint is getting closer. I'm looking forward to seeing you final paint. Have you done any calculation on a final weight yet? Not sure where I'll end up yet but as of now the fuse as it is with the engine weighs 22lbs. From there I'll add the batteries, wings, landing gear, cowl prop and spinner, and elevators and rudder. We will see😃
