Default Hangar 9 Spitfire 60 sized

Hey Guys,

One of my flying buddies is buying one of these with motor box damage. From looking at the pictures, it looks totally fixable. However, I was wondering if somebody out there still had one of these that they could measure some dimensions for me? Kinda looking for the dims of the motor box itself. I can make a new one, the pieces that he is getting may be missing a few, so would need to know the measurements of the motor mount/motor box it’s self, I can take it from there. I know these are way discounted, so any help is greatly appreciated.

JC; is this the H9 Spitfire you are referring to? If it is, I will provide you with the dimensions of the engine mounting box.

JC, I will measure the engine mount box when I get home and post the results later this evening. I am one of the very few in my neck of the woods that still have and fly this model Spitfire. I have the old FG-20 gas Saito installed, it's a great engine for this model, runs like a Swiss watch and sounds awesome.

JC, engine mount box dimensions as you requested.

Engine mount box width - 3 5/16"
Length from bulkhead to face of engine mount box - left side = 3", right side = 2 7/8" (right off set).
Height of engine mount box at bulkhead - 4 3/4"
Height of engine mount box at face where engine is bolted - 4"
