Thank-you so much for the scan. A local hobby store owner (Cellar Dweller Hobbies) and scale competitor Gerry Fingler did the build and flying for this review. The 79'' wingspan Platt 109 was a game changer at the local flying field as the rest of us were flying 60 size warbirds and competited against this model of the 109 and it 109 seemed huge and unbeatable!. The lady of the cover was a local CKY TV weather girl "Sylvia", the photographer in the article Blaine Raymond also worked at the tv station and got Sylvia to post with the 109 behind this sky back drop.Good memories for me!!

cheers - ken

"drifter" you are fast, my friend!.

I didnīt even have time to get back home from work!

By the way, does anyone know if there was also a review article on the Platt Spitfire. I also own a original kit but do not know of any article or review on it.

Thanks and Best Regards.

I have this Dave Platt Spitfire review from Scale RC Modeler magazine (date?) RCU will take my pdf so I put it on google drive at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1X4...5adBv-Vwdj5rwX
and posting the jpeg scans too.
I built this model back in 2006, it flew good, I lost it after a long day of flying, an evening flight coming in from the west, on final approach, I got the Spit too slow, too high AoA, I panicked and hit the go lever to fast and the Spit torque rolled in, I gave away the airframe. I used a G62, next time I need to build the tail much lighter and I need lots of nose weight to balance it.
cheers - ken

"kenair" thank you very much and, please, ask me any detail you may need with the Me 109. My kit is a semi kit from Dave Platt with a complete balsa kit from a kit cutter from USA I do not remember the name.

Thanks again and Best Regards.

The maximum acceptable size for pdfs is 5 megs. That may be why it was rejected.
The file I uploaded was over 15 megs before I sent it to a free pdf shrink site.
It came back less than 2 megs. Uploaded and downloaded in 2 minutes.
