Default Any updates on latex paint methods

Hi, the thread on, one or two coats of primer caught my eye, but I cannot use solvent based paint in my basement workshop, I've gone to latex.
I've PDF'd the Vaillancourt method at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X7Q...-TYabXhkc/view
that I've been using.
I start with Z poxy with 3/4 oz. glass cloth over a balsa surface.
What you guys are using for latex primer / undercoater and filler?

I've been using a plain latex primer / undercoater followed by that same undercoat mixed with a hint of grey latex with baby talc powder added in.
The downside is the baby talc filler takes a couple of days to fully dry for sanding.

I'd like to hear what the latex guys are doing on their warbirds.
The P-51 is a brushed on latex while the Harvard is sprayed on latex.
cheers - ken

Default latex paint

I haven't used any type of latex type of primer yet I have only used a lacquer type primer because it dries so fast and sands easy , not sure what brand of paint you are
using but I have had the best luck with BEHR paint thinning with windshield washer fluid

here are some pics of a Proctor N28 foam brush painted , with some airbrushing. I used Behrs house paint from Homedepot.. And its painted over 3mm Doculam..N11 was foam brush painted Hobby acrylic over ceconnite..

Both these planes are rebuilds. The Top N11 was destroyed in a mid-dair, the bottom N28 was a combination of two planes that were crashed in VERY tall trees !

I use gray auto primer, one coat. Then Home Depot exterior latex samples. Thin with water. I tried the windshield washer fluid, seems to help some with the spray and paint is more flexible dried, I think. I then coat with matt lacquer to keep from having chemical, grass etc stains.
