I regretted not buying one of those. It looked like a good flier.

WELL, I offered my editor my collection empty 35mm film canisters....no reply yet, so I will hold out until I am " all in" by offering my collection of old AMA cards!

This is VERY BAD. I have alway been a Hellcat fan and have no room in the hanger for additions. It looks like I will have to make room.

I can't wait to offer an opinion Jerry. You know how I feel about Hellcats! I'm confident that it will be at least as good as their other stuff. If that is the case then it should be a great choice straight out of the box for the guys that just want to go fly and an excellent starting point for the "bashers" like myself.

Oh phooey!

They'll release it (with way too little dihedral) and then as soon as people start liking it, they'll disco it like they always do. TF gets on my damned nerves.

Actually it's the only way Hobbico can survive. Protection from creditors and time to restructure. Horizon changed a few years back to a similar model. They minimize their inventory levels and react to market trends faster. I'd say going into the future, if you see something you like, buy it now. If you really like it, buy another as it's likely to be gone very soon.

I'm willing to bet the cats are already in production and as soon as the first container is full they will start taking orders. But this may now explain why so many aircraft go out of production so soon.

I was told by someone who is working with TF and GP that it will be revealed at the Toledo RC show in April.

Actually, Dave Platt once made a very similar proclamation to this a couple of decades ago. It was true then and seems to be even more true now. I realize this on a personal level as I sold every bit of hobby stuff I owned from planes to tools to enclosed trailer when the economy tanked in 2008 and I wasn't alone in that. Looking at the hobby now after almost a ten-year absence it is stunning what has taken place and not all for the better, I'm afraid. Gone are so many companies and products I had hoped to reconnect with and it seems that hardly anyone builds anymore. That is so sad.

For me personally there is a complete lack of pride in an ARF. I well remember getting a Hangar-9 Mustang around 2004, taking it to my local club field and positioning it on the flight line along with four others that looked exactly like it. No thank you. That could never compare to the respectful comments, questions and even a thank you from a WWII veteran when I took my Yellow Aircraft P-47 to the field and flew it during a public display in 2007. You will never experience that with an ARF. But, hey, that's just me.

The listing is on the tower website with photos and manual. Mid May availability and $1000 for the airframe.

I wonder what the suggested price BEFORE they were bought out
