Sorry I do not. The gear craped out on the 4th or 5th flight. I need to get a new set from Sierra.

Thanks for the reply, for as much as they were charging for that gear you'd think they be have decent. My order is all do this week!

We had a little problem with the landing gear on his big Mulligan or it would have flown but I’m pretty sure it will be fast with its thin wings.

TimD what prop are you using and what RPM are you seeing on the ground/air?

My FG84/Keleo is modified by Ray English and turns a Xoar 24x14 at 7400rpm in the air. It’s in a Top Flight Corsair and weighs about 27 pounds dry. Just for comparison...
The Mulligan has a 100 inch span and has the 90 in it.

I’ve been holding out for a UMS 125 5 cylinder but it’s not in production yet so I may go with my second choice of a DLA 128cc 4 cylinder two stroke from golden skies RC I’ve seen it on two planes and it’s a really nice engine that will easily fit in the cowl

If a DLE-111 works with no fit issues.....anyone care to guess a DLE-120 would work? I just happened to have a DLE-120 NIB in my stash.....

The DLE 120 is 250mm wide and the DLE 111 is 255mm wide. Looks like the DLE 120 would fit fine!

I think they are the same size with plugs and caps on. You will have around 3 or 4 mm clearance in the cowl.

Solved my overheating problem with this muffler wrap from Summit Racing.

By the way, I measured the clearance in my cowl. My spark plug caps have a 17mm clearance on one side and 13mm on the other. My plug caps both fit in the air channel blisters on either side of the cowl.

Hi Guys,

just picked up this plane and starting the build. Thanks for what is a very informative stream. I am at the point of attaching the Sierra main retracts. Does Darryl make a conversation wood kit for the mains? I thought I remembered someone had mentioned that.

Thanks
John

We are starting to ship them this afternoon
Better get your orders in now while we still have a few in stock.

Hello John, found this looks like if you purchased a set after this. Should be near drop in fit.

Sierra retracts are a drop in fit it’s just that the rails in the plane need shims as described earlier by wingspar. DrScoles made a comment that a conversion kit was available? If not, not a big issue just build it up like wingspar did. Thanks again to everyone for a very informative thread!

Here is the list right off Sierra Giant Scale web site. 1/4.5 scale. You will need to make wood shim rails for the mains but the retracts do fit into the wing.

I have looked at the site but there are 1/4.5 and 1/4 and Im not sure which set work for the toprc arf. I thought that maybe its the 1/4 size with the 6" wheel that was my question. Thanks for the assist.

If you looked at the list the 1/4 scale set is for AirWorld, Meister FW190. The 1/4.5 is for the Vailly, Smith FW190. Also the one VQ offers for the TopRC FW190.

I twisted the tail on a hard landing, should have reinforced the weak spot before it happened! Appeared very flimsy right in front of the vert. Fin. 6oz carbon all the way around, much stiffer now and I have a nice access hatch under the fuse... lol

Darrell from sierra said in his post that they are using the 1/4 scale gear for the Toprc fw190 so it the 1/4 or the 1/4.5 gear that are needed. I have the retracts for a vailly fw and the kit but I am wanting the arf for me thanks.

Hello Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I am up and running again in case someone needs a fan that fits the toprc Spinner backplate an toprc cowling.
I have made a special jig to ensure they are a perfect fit.
