Warbirds & Classics Over Denver 6/8-10!
Warbirds & Classics Over Denver takes place June 8th through the 10th. Looking forward to this annual event with a new twist. This year we're inviting those pilots that fly scale classic aircraft whose design is at least 50 years old. Check our website for info and registration!

We will see you on Friday, Brent, Zach and Duane coming on Saturday. Zach has to play in the Colorado High School All Star Football game in Alamosa Friday!
Will have at least one new Meister zero, maybe two if things work out right.

Larry,
Cant wait to see those Zeke's! The Kate will appreciate the company, not to mention the help keeping all those pesky Corsairs off her tail!! We decided to open things up a bit for folks that would like to participate in a "scale" event and fly something cool from yesteryear. Not sure how many we'll see but they'll be welcome!! Maybe a big gaggle of Cubs!!?? Ya just never know what will show up. By the way, did you see the updated directions? The West entrance is closed for construction so you must enter via the East Park entrance off of Hwy 85 to Titan Rd, then North on Roxborough Park Rd. See you all in a few days!

Saturday Pix -WarBirds & Classics Over Denver
Beautiful flying day. No midairs nor major crashes (that I saw), A few dead stick landings and oops events. Lot of pilots and many airplanes of all types including several scalemode Helo's.. Neat.
I took lots and lots of pictures it was difficult to pick out the better ones to put up here.
I reduced the size of the pictures (1024x 768-- 200kb) to facilitate uploading them.
If you want a full-size image (~ 6mb x 4mb -11mb) of one of my pictures send me an email or PM with the number of the picture.. (ie IMGP4822.jpg)

I just dropped in as a spectator on Saturday. There were some very impressive planes. Super nice folks.

Sunday Pix -WarBirds & Classics Over Denver
It was rather windy Sunday which kept some of the smaller planes from flying but the bigger birds kept flying.
I think that a new record was set. I don't 'think' that there were any serious crashes or mid-air's during the whole event, if there were, I missed them nor did I hear of any. --- Outstanding
The pilots from the Pueblo Sky Coral group put on several formation flights - smoke & all.
The Colorado Contingent with Doug's Kate and their Corsairs put on a good war like demo - torpedo drop, smoke and all.
A special thanks to Lora for CD'ing this event, she and the volunteers did an outstanding job! Without her the event wouldn't have been as great as it was.

Many great moments at this event. Perhaps the most poignant was the opening ceremony. Here is a nice video montage assembled by our club photographer, "Bud" who did a great job capturing the true spirit of the weekend. Also, a special thanks to Lora who organized the event and served as CD. Well done!!
