Well, based on the spinner and the cowl shape (note the reflection of the shadow), it doesn't appear to be a T-28...

A couple of observations on that pic.

1 the Trojan does not have that much outlet area at the back of the cowl.

2 Based on the size of the bolt in the front of that spinner, whatever plane it is, its not as big as the rumoured Trojan was to be.

notice in the reflection the cowl flaps in the shadow, rules out the t-6

That's exactly what I was thinking; look at the wingtips in the reflection.

Where did that photo come from, anyway? I can't find it on the Horizon Facebook page...

From the reflection on the spinner you can see both wing tips and they have a faint red color at the tip. That’s where the Japanese meatball should be. From the camp pattern it resembles Japanese camo not Soviet so that suggests it’s not a Yak or La type plane. From the small detail of an intake behind the prop at 12oclock I’d have to concur this looks to be a Ki-84...

We can also tell the wingtips are pretty round from the shadow on the ground. Also the Japanese are known for painting green camo right over bare metal or silver like this one seems to be.

I'm actually pleased it is not the big T-28 as now i don't have to worry about diverting $5k or so towards yet another project and I would be very tempted with a T-28.

The later model Hayabusa has the small intake in the 12 o’clock position.
