That thing is Bad *****!!! I love that plane. Maybe electric is the way to go. I may have been convinced. Have you gotten a speed? Maybe someone can check the vid and let us know. For a plane of that size, that is really moving. Great job.

Casey
The 109 "Rita" was David Pearsons. I think he did the cosmetic repairs and just waiting on a new Retract part. I'm sure he will have her out again.

RE: Let's See Your Luftwaffe Birds!!!
glad to seea Luftwaffe expert is on board! I have a question for you...
there was an OKL technical order from ABIOC dated 12/31/44, that stated Stab II./JG53 was to incorperate
a black fuselage band by no later then 1100 hours 12/31/44. do you know the specified width
of the band? and theapproximate location of it? I assume the band was for Operation Bodenplatte,
correct? if so, then there were simular orders issued to the units involved I assume. thanks in advance!
very nice P-47 by the way!

Here is my highly modified Holman / Don Lein 1/5 FW-190... I'm waiting on the prop from solo to show up, then have to balance it and fix the canopy opening mechanism (tomorrow) then it will be ready for test runs and maiden. Then i can finish up the rest of the details I haven't done yet. lol

blah, blah, blah....
blah, blah, blah....
" to differentiate them better in the air, , are to be marked with a black band round the 6th or 7th section of the
fuselage fuselage about 45 cm. wide. Any “Ace of Spades” markings including those on M/T are to be removed."
butthe a/c seen in that unit used 90cm band from station 6 through 8. and most retained there " A of S " gruppe
badging.
was this justa case of theunits technical officer interpeting the order his own way? or was he just......
" making it up as they go " ??????
