RE: Let's See Your Luftwaffe Birds!!!
Nice shot of the FW 190 JGrc. Looks like one of the JG26 fliers (Abbeyville Boys) coming in for a landing in northern France. Of course the year would be 1943 at the latest because he'd have a couple of P-51s or Typhoons on his butt if it was closer to the end of the war. Oh wait, the weather's way to nice so forget it, that can't be northern France.

RE: Let's See Your Luftwaffe Birds!!!
Yeah RGrc, I was just joshin ya....
Great job on the FW though (love the landing gear and other scale details). Got any information on Bob Holman's kits like a link, or tips and tricks? Is one of his kits something a second time builder (the first was an Eagle 63 - sport of course) like myself can handle? I've heard you've got to have some experience....
Also, why did you go Moki vs gas like a 50cc or bigger for better scale sound quality? Did you try a three bladed prop or was it not feasible?
Another thing is I thought you guys didn't get much sunshine in central Germany back in the spring of 45....err I mean Portland....

Stick,
don't know the HOlmamn kit is a 2nd time builder but is not that difficult either. Best thing is to talk to Bob, he is always answering the phone and willing to give you advice. His # is 909 885 3959.
The reason I went with Moki' is because I had it laying around, is as reliable as gas and it also sounds like a real engine. The next better thing would be a small radial
Portland weather bad??[] Actually Spring brought some nice sunshine[8D] last weekend after 2 months of cr@p.

Here is my Top Flite FW 190. On maiden flite, both Century Jet retracts bent back at wire between the pivot point and strut on TAKE OFF. Unbelievable. Changing over to Spring Air and will try again. Larry

Here are pic's of my 126" Ju-88. Weighs 45lbs dry. 2 G-38's. Robart rotating retracts. Has scale gear door operation. 8 doors. It is done in a winter scheme. The Germans painted the nose of this fighter version to trick the Russians into making headon attacks. Then they would open up with the Machine guns/Cannons.
They plane has been flown and it flies really well.

Nice JU-88
Great job Landrel. Was this a scratch built?
Also, what's the radome or hatch looking thing behind the rear gunner cowling under the nose in the 2nd picture?

RE: Nice JU-88
Hi all,
Have started to build a 1/4 scale 109e and am curious as to where I can find the german words that are used on this aircraft, especially in the cockpit.
