Default Corsair Paint Schemes

I recently got a corsair, that won't be built or even started untill next summer, but I am looking for different paint schemes for the plane. I don't want the normal blue paint schemes. So far I have found the Nightfigter paint scheme

the white one from the Korean War that has been posted here before, and by far the most interesting to me one from the Argentina Navy

Does anyone have any other interesting/weird paint schemes

Skier,

Here's a Royal Navy Camo version of the Corsair MkII. Basically, an F4U-A1.

How about a "Soccer War" Corsair. This one flew with El Salvador during the 1969 skirmish and is most certainly not blue!

Skier, another option is a USMC F4U that was overall gull gray Wings were gull gray on top and insignia white on the flaps/ailerons. same for stab gull gray and white elevators. forward of pilot had a black anti-glare panel all the way from front of cowl to windscreen. Don't recall the bottom but think it was insignia white. Look at early vitenam phantoms as basic USN scheme.

I went to an old book but, found the side profile was cut out as was a black and white photo. I then recall I snipped them for a friend back around 1990. I think it was USMC bird out of Alameda CA. Book is really a pamphlet called "fighting colors F4U- Corsair in color" by Jim Sullivan Squadron signals pub.
profile was page 24, picture was back cover.

look for pic on WWW.

Mike sends.
