"Blohm & Voss P.170 Schnell bomber"
I am not a scale person, actually I am a 3D person, but this P 170, which I have never seen mentioned anywhere (Discovery Wings or the like), seen or even heard about, untill just recently. For a small glow model, to make it easy, light and safe, one could build it with only a center engine and dummies on the wing tips. The original had a top speed of 510 mph at 26,000 ft. Has anybody built a model of this plane, plan to do so, would like to, knows about plans for it, anything, post it here please.

A good web site to find out more about experimental German Aircraft is [link]http://www.luft46.com[/link]
Most nonproduction experimental designs from the whole German aircraft industry is listed there. It makes interesting reading.

Great site Airbear!
Looking at the pics of the B&V 170 it wouldn't be hard
to scratch up a sport scale version to see if the concept
works, tho I think the stab and vertical fins might need
to be bigger than scale.

Well I like building unsual German planes. I actually started looking into building this plane. I like the 100" range. You can always find premade cowls for something that size. I was figuring on large 4 stroke for the center engine and possibly electric for outboard. So I would not have alot of weight out there and if I ran out of power they could wind mill and not have a problem with one engine out. I'll keep you posted. I am in the process of scaling it up from the 3 view.
