RE: Help me prioritaze.
If you're going to keep them to .40-.60 sized, make them as large as possible for a .60 sized 2-stroke. That's the size that interests me. I'd love to see a Sturmovik, Mig-3, and Yak-3.

Thanks,
Every voice counts. You are second who voted for Shturmovik. That would be a great .60-.90 project.
Anybody else?

Actually, the Comemerative (Confederate) Air Force has a flyable I-16 also, saw it a couple of years ago at the CAF airshow in Midland, Texas.
Cool looking plane!

Hi Chris,
This I-16 is the one you saw in Texas. It is stationed in Virginia.
OK gentlemen, what do you think about "Russian Tiger moth" Po-2?
It was a real workhorse. You may not know about "Night Witches" squadron. But this all wood and fabric bype was a successful night bomber piloted by women during WW ll.
BTW I'm half way done with design.

RE: Help me prioritaze.
Hi,
This is one big list. I bet you've got it from airwar.ru.
I promise to design some big ones but i need to raise some founds for giant scale prototypes.
The first giant scale project that is on my list is 1/4 scale I-16 95"WS.
There is nothing better than big gasoline powered warbird.
Mike

RE: Help me prioritaze.
OK guys,
Since I'm not getting more votes the list for the neer future is set as following:
1. MiG-3
2. I-16
3. LaGG-3
and some time in between we will squeeze a Pe-2 twin.
Now I need to decide what size they should be.
Let's choose between .40 and.60. Having them all in giant scale is a MUST, but later.
Thanks
Mike

RE: Help me prioritaze.
Hey guys,
Anybody else?
I was wondering, have I chosen the wrong subject for modeling?
It looks like there is no interest for Russian airplanes. Is it because "Cold War" or just lack of exposure?
May be I should drop everything and build Mustangs, Corsairs, Spitfires, Cubs?...

RE: Help me prioritaze.
Don't do that, there is enough of that crap out there already. I do realize there is a smaller market for Russian planes but the same goes for Japanese and German planes as well. Somebody might as well get famous for doing the Russian stuff so why not you, your doing an excellent job on the Yak. Stay with what you know (love?), I would bet if you did a mustang or corsair it would not come out as nice because the desire and drive would not be the same.

Thanks man.
I guess I have to take responsibility of becoming the ULTIMATE RUSSIAN WAR-BIRD SOURCE. Screw the money and popularity!
I'll do it for my own pride!
Thanks everyone for participation in this thread.

Hey, thanks for attention.
I'll definitely design I-16 and I-153 but later. Please keep checking on my forums and you 'll be the first one to know when they are ready.
Mike.

RE: Help me prioritaze.
Truly I'm not really fond of the I-16, sure it looks original but not my styl, I like slim and deadly more. So here's my list in no particular order:
Pe-2: Historically the first production was built faster than the Bf-109 (later the Bf was upgraded for better speeds) And it had a good range I believe. If Stalin had commissioned 1000 Pe-2's early on then Germany would have been reciving about 1/2 a nuke every night of the war... no way they would have lasted as long.
Yak-3(or -9): Whats not to love... a big cannon sticking out of the spinner -- initially the cannon was there to have the Yak act as a part time tank hunter so you can imagine that thing hitting a German fighter -- Plenty of speed and agility... matched the Bf-109 quite well.
Il-2(or -10): How many planes have you seen rigged up with enough armour to stop heavy machine gun bullets? Whats not to love about this rather slow moving but hard to destroy airplane?
I agree the Mig-3 looks good but it is similar to the Yak3-9 in design but the Yak had more success.
