Douglas Skypirate and a very nice one as well. I've considered ordering your plans for this one on more than one occasion!

Lawrence B,

Do you have plans for that or is there a kit?

I'm building a giant scale BV-138....I've not seen anyone model this WAR BIRD on this forum or RCSB & RCG.
It was a gun ship, recon and mine sweeper.

I did my own plug & molds from a 3-view drawing. The model has foam wing cores that I also hot wired. The first flight ended in disaster but I still have the molds and hot wire templates so I may re-visit the Ascender in the future.

I'm with you. Every time I see the Balsa USA guys at Rhinebeck I hit them up with "When are you going to do a 1/4 scale Pfaltz D-III?" Even the D-XII would be good. Also for World War 2 I'd like to see the Macchi 202, Fiat G-55 and for twins the Petlykov Pe-2 and the Ki-46 "Dinah". Dave Andersen has my other favorite twin already available as plans the Ki-45 "Nick". I will do one of those in the future.

Man I love your taste in warbirds John! I'm building a Macchi 202 right now, plans and parts to come when (if?) it flies. A Fiat G-55 and Ki-46 Dinah are on the "drawing board", both of them are favorites of mine. In fact the Dinah is my ultimate dream project and one I hope to do it justice as soon as time permits. So many airplanes and only one lifetime!

Greetings from Finland

I have wondered quite long time that there are no 2 - 2,5 m sized Wildcat or Ilyuschin IL-2 kits or ARFs
Wildcat has it s place in history and should have quite good markets in US. Landing gear can not be so difficult.
IL-2 has also its place in history over 35 000 examples build.

Skyshark has an IL2 kit, although it may be a bit smaller than you want.

How about a 1/4 scale Bf-109E-4? I just put the 3 first flights on it and it performed beautifully. Glass fuse with a foam wing, 33.5 lbs.

Tevans55, Why don't you build a Don Smith Mosquito? It's 1/6th scale and 109" span.
