Another Skyshark ME-109
I thought I would take a couple pictures of my ME-109 that I have been building over the last couple of months. I am installing spring air retracts and am having 3/8" oleo struts built for the gear. I believe the wire gear will be to weak because of the length of the wire. The kit is really nice and goes together real well. Mike Grey is very helpful if you have any question's about anything. He will get back to you within twenty four hours if not sooner. I will keep pictures coming as I get near the end.

I haven't decided on the colors yet. I am installing a Saito 100 for the powerplant and will be using a APC 14x8 prop. That will give it plenty of power. Will have to use the throttle gently.

RE: Another Skyshark ME-109
Was able to get a few more things finally done on the ME-109 over the last couple of weeks. Was able to install the vertical fin, rudder, stab, elevators, tailwheel, engine and cowl. The cowl is a real chore to install since it butts up to the firewall. It does not overlap the fusellage so getting the correct reveal is a very difficult chore and very time consuming. I would rather have the cowl overlap the fuselage to make the installation go much eaiser. I am still waiting for the gear legs from springair so I can get an idea how the plane will balance out. The radio and servos are in so most of the hard work is done.

I finally was able to get some more done on the ME-109. My father passed away on Nov 12th so I haven't felt like doing much on the plane. I finished up the wing and just have to finish up the cowl and cover the rudder then it should be ready to go. Hope to finish it up within a couple of weeks.

RE: Another Skyshark ME-109
I finally finished the ME-109 today. It has a finished weight of 8lbs 10 oz. I had to add 6 oz to the tail for it to balance at the recommended cg. It has a saito 100 with a apc 14x8 prop. I installed spring air retracts and used 3x8" oleo struts with robart 3x3/4 inch wheels. I have enclosed a few finished pictures for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy. This was a very well desinged kit and went together very well. The fiberglass parts were excellent and Mike at Skyshark RC is awesome if you have any questions about his kits. He is more than willing to help and if you need anything you will get it right away. Thanks, Mike.
