Default Who's going to Warbirds over Indiana?

Labor day weekend. I will be there with the 13 foot corsair and my Avenger. We will also have a 10 ft. Bearcat, a Yellow spit and a 10 foot Zero. Held at Muncie at the AMA site. Should be a blast.

10 ft Bearcat? WoW!! that's huge. Is it a enlarged Nick Z. plan? Love that plane. A a 1/3 scale DR-1 for Dawn Patrol 05 is No# 1 priorty build for myself, then maybe a 10 ft Bearcat.

Happy Flying

Hey jetster, thx for the glass hood for my FW. Yes, the 10 ft (actually 111 inches) is an enlarged Ziroli with a AH 8.4 twin.

Does anyone have the time schedule for this event? I checked the AMA website but can't seem to find the details. I was going to go to the DOGS event in Dayton that weekend but sounds like Warbirds over Indiana may be the ticket since no IMAC or 3D stuff, just warbirds.

You warbird guys don't want to miss this. All big warbirds all day, with open flying of any size warbird in the evenings after hours. All kinds of good prizes to raffle off including a couple big warbird kits. Should be a good time.

Hey Warbirdav8r: I was going to attend as a spectator since I don't have any flyable IMAA legal warbirds at the moment, but since you mentioned that smaller sized warbirds can be flown in the evenings, maybe I will bring my TF FW190 and AT6. Do you happen to know specifically when in the evening this flying begins and how long we will have to fly? I would like to attend on Saturday and just want to plan my travel schedule since I'm driving down from Michigan. If it's required to fly the small stuff, I do have membership in IMAA as well as of course AMA. Thanks in advanced for your help.

I'm really looking forward to this event. Can wait to see those giant warbirds, especially, Jeff's 13' Corsair. Followed his build and flying threads, so it will be great to see it in-person.

Any Stuka's going to be there? I'm going to try and finish mine in time, just some painting and a few odds and ends. I hope to have a maiden flight before then though.

We want to keep the line open as long as there is a need for it. But I don't think it would last past 5 or 6 P.M. Bring what you want and have fun.

Just bringing a BUSA Eindecker, but hoping that there's going to be a good crop of WW1 stuff there too.

Awesome, I was hoping to get some pointers from some other Stuka pilots. I'd love to see them flying in formation.

Will there be anybody with a scanner at the show to see about Interference? We had a bad experience with wideband intereference at the Heart of Ohio Jet Scramble. Supposedly the JR recievers were succeptable to the interference and that's what I have. Just a little worried.

Just got back from the show. I had a great time and enjoyed all the nice warbirds. Good seeing you Jeff, Kim, Phil, Rich and the rest of my freinds. Jeff, it was nice to meet your dad (the man behind the madness).

It was great to see Jeff's Corsair in the air... and meet Carey. Carey's 190 is gorgeous.

THe 3 of us from Madison are going to pool our pictures and put together a web page to taunt the the locals who wussed out on us at the last minute and instead stayed home to do things like seal their driveways, watch football or other extremely pressing things.

Paul LeTourneau and the Wright County Flyers did a great job and deserve all or our thanks for putting this event together.

We ran to Dayton on SUnday to check out the Museum and from what I saw of the DOGS event at Wright Pat. I think attendance at the Warbird Event on Saturday was at least what it was at Dayton on Sunday.

Was this event a HUGE sucess, or is it in the building phase? How many pilots and planes ? I have been expecting a post with an event summary ....

I am looking foward to seeing that website with pics !

Wanted to attend, but work precluded that.

Good Day.
