Pete,
I'm guessing that the white servo arm bit on the inner gear door is simply a stop for the belcrank so the doors are not opened to far and it should give a little stiffer end point so they don't flap in the breeze as much. Great to see yours coming onto final.

What do you know I finished the yellow and black strips. At this rate I'll finish this bird about the same time I retire.[]

Scotsman is correct. It is made from one the arms of a bellcrank. I spent 2 weeks of working about 6 to 7 hours a day to figuire everything out on the doors. Good thing I am retired. People always ask how long it takes to build a scale model like this one. For the first time I kept a log of the time I spent working on this plane and what I accomplished that day. It took 438 hrs to complete the P47.

thanks mate. I would hate to think how many hours I have spent, would be in excess though with all the little changes, scale details, re-engineering etc etc and so on and so forth as they say.
I put the gear leg in on one side to see what clearance I have if I mount the ram to one side a little and I have loaqds of room as the photo shows. So just need to fit the different offset hinges and fit the ram as per my drawings and it should be sweet.

I didn't keep track of the hours I put in on the plane. 438 hrs is a lot but I think it's faster then I did it. Of course I'm still not really finished. I did work on mine most of the time for a year and 9months be fore it flew.

I see now. I didn't understand where you were going to find room for the cylinders. I forgot you moved the retracts. I don't have that much room in mine. I may have to cut into the plane to mount my cylinders. I didn't plan ahead.[:@]

yeah mate they will, just a little surface rust is all. Once it has a few bounces it will be fine. My struts are actually oil damped so keen to see how they work on the model.

Look Like England is going down against France
French are starting to show their true colours as expected
Score 16 - 0 after 32 minutes
