Get off the couch Pete!!!

Was my Birthday a couple of days ago. We popped a couple of bottles of my favorite Lake Erie wine. White Cataba. Yum. Good stuff. Wish you were here to share some.

Happy Birthday Tom, congrats! Hop you had a great day and lots of modelling pressies.

yeah I hear you folk and acknowledge all.

My big barometer as to how my life is going and my level of happiness are my models, when I am happy and content I do lots of modelling. At the moment I have little interest. Go figure.

It will improve. At the moment each blurs into the next, work, sleep, lay on couch, weekend comes and goes and the cycle repeats with little happiness or joy in between.

Just stuck in a hole at present but one I will crawl out of soon enough.

Black dog keeps barking and I swear one day I will take to it with a dose of strychnine!! Those of you who have had this will understand.

Anyway I do have to do something about it and get myself out of this black hole and only I can do it.

thanks for kind words, they do mean a lot to me.
cheers

yeah its the birds that cause this crap!!

Did not fly sunday even though I had the 1/4 tiggy charged ready to go. Had a late night on sat and tired come sunday morning.

anyway pulled the P51 out and worked on the air leaks, could not find one in the tail like I thought but found the line going to the stboard wing aircylinder had stretched around the nipple and was leaking. Replaced the whole line and it seems to be good now.

So that is 2 warbirds I can fly, little pica spit and my faithful 82" P51

So now I can get onto the P47. Thinking I might get that completed then move on to the new Seafury wing.

Bit of a storm brewing late yesterday arvo and as I had both washoing out and the P51 it was a bit of a scramble in case the heavens opened up.

then a sugar fix as you do :-0

Bob - back to oz 101 for you mate.

birds = sheilas = females = women = trouble!

can imagine all the run off from the snow melting would make the ground like a quagmire. We are in Autumn here and it was 36C over the weekend!! OMG! That is middle of summer temps. Be glad when it cools down a bit.

Back to my spreadsheets now - bah!

Pete knows the first 4 bits of that equation, he just has to learn that the last bit is the most accurate!

I'm still here. Waiting on good weather to take the plane out. I need to tune on the engine before I take off with it. The last time I fired it up I was only getting 6300rpm with a 22-10. It needs to be close to 7000. That's where it was with the RCGF. In all fairness I never touched the needles on the new engine yet so don't take this as complaining. Should be sometime this week I hope.

Happy Easter to all.

Pete. Here is a little inspiration for you. Subliminal message. "Tin Can Bay"

This is Eugen's old green Razorback P-51. He reworked it over the winter. The Changes are New DLE-55RA. Robart Electric Retract conversion kit. Converted to 2.4. No more fishing pole to fly with. LOL. It did fly well with the fishing pole. New paint. Bob did a great job remaiden ing it. The plane looks great in the the air.

not sure yet mate, have to check my large model inspection certificate to see if it is current for the mustang. What are motels like up there? If I do come I would get away from here about 3 in the morning Sat so I only need 1 night accommodation.

not short on power that 51 Tom!

Ok I actually did some work on my 47 yesterday. Glued to canopy back on the fuz and a couple of adjustments on the hood. Have to d oa bit of tidy up around the front of the canopy frame and fix some hanger rash from the last move. Nothing bad, bit of red body filler will fix it.

Cub is on change for tomorrow and a pic of me doing my Saturday 5km run. Not bad for a fella who is now 53!!

That's what I like to read. You back in the spirit. Wish I was that skinny. You think I should start running? Don't let the girls behind you ketch you unless they are buying supper and have their own car to drive themselves home. Moto to live by. Just saying.

The new charger must be working.
