@ Steveguath- No build thread from me, and really no past threads on the Bahs kit either. I built a 1/4 scale P51, 3W kit, so I'm using a lot of the same processes on the Corsair. Can't wait to fire the Moki 250 for the first time!

Here's a pic of the same kit that was at Top Gun this year, but this one was modified into a later Korean War version, I'm doing early WWII, and a couple pics of my 1/4 P51..

Hi Drube

Have you looked at page 1 as there is an endex that will help ansure a lot of questions, it is not complete any more but still can be a great help. ya I know it takes a lot of time to go looking, but imho it will save you time and frustrations as you go.

About your ? on the wing the only week point is at the slot ware the gear folds thru, if I were going to do another build I would add some C/F none directional fabric in there and go out 1 rib in each direction with it.

Way back I did some coculations and 1oz saved in the aft of the C/G means 6 oz less wieght to ad in the nose.

When you have a question it helps to add a pic, doe to a H/D crash I no longer have all of the pic's saved from all builds in the first 150 pages.

Hope this helps and good luck wiyh your build

Cheers Bob T

I did add quite a bit, but whatever it takes to fly! And it flys super!!! It's built really tough as is, I just covered mine and didn't glass. This is one sweet looking and flying bird, c'mon it's a corsair!

I am using the Top Flite main doors, and the Tail doors from Hangar 9. The Main doors are pretty nice.

Regards,

Dave

To All,
After messing around with the flap area (servo) that the plans & manual tell you to build,I finally decided to make that area twice the size, like the aileron servo opening and by doing this I do believe that I will have enough area to cut the pushrod and solder the clevis, and attach to the servo. So all that I have to do is reframe the opening with some 1/4 x 1/2 for the hatch cover.

So, you get to pick the brain of one of the best scale builders around and you still paid $90 for the gear doors? That surprises me. They are soooooo easy to lay up, can be done in no time.

I'm not knocking ya, I was just surprised. Mike is one of the best scale builders I know of. Your a lucky guy to be able to learn some of his tricks. Good luck on the rest of the build.
