I can't help with those items - just the Century Jet retracts. Have you tried Cowling & Accessories for Kits looks like they will have the cowling.and dummy engine.

Hi Again .......
I am also trying to get the Mod made by Chad Veich , which he was very kind to send me . I believe that he also sent me the CAD for a kit cutter .
This kit makes the tail lighter and air foil tail surfaces
If Anyone has a dummy 9 CYL engine , that is still in good use, to fit in the cowl , I,m interested
BTW .......... I,ll order the cowl from that address

Hi Michel
Just a bit of advice from an OLD Gezzer (spelling) when you get to mounting the dummy in the cowl chack the balance of your bird and if nose weight is needed, like both of mine, so on my current one I needed several oz's of nose weight so I backfilled it with #6 lead shot mixed with epoxy added a 1/8 ply back plate to it fitted as necessary and when doing a final balance I only had to add 1oz at the fire wall to get the correct nose down with the gear up.
Hope this might help
Cheers Bob T

I have a NIB complete set of Century Jet retracts (mains only) including air tank for this plane that I won't use. Willing to sell for $150 plus shipping

These are air operated retracts

Hey guys, I was "fortunate" enough to pick up a partially built GS Corsair, with Robart elec. retracts included. I have experience with Robarts air units (in my TF giant P-47) but not the electric ones...nor has anyone in my club. What do I need to know to keep them operating dependably? Has anyone had problems? Thanks....

I have the CJ electrics in my 60 size Corsair, and the only thing to make sure of, use a separate battery pack, and keep them clean. Don't wrap the control box either, it needs to be vented as it heats up. Use that velcro type attachment to secure it.

Not sure how the Robarts senses the end points, but the CJ uses resistance, so the screw drive needs to be kept clean and the movement smooth through out. Also don't cycle them a lot, just as needed so the controller doesn't get too warm. Do this and they will outlast the plane.

If anyone is interested in a complete set of 3 actuators to convert the large retracts to electric let me know. They are new and I have the controller board too. I’m not going to use them so they sit in my stash of parts.

I’d take $275 + shipping
includes two actuators for the mains and one for the tail gear
one control board
all new parts

This actuator set will convert the larger Robart air retracts to electric, compatible with some mid size retracts too.

If your looking at this for a wing mechanism you will have to design something like the Comp ARF hinges for their Corsair. I’d guess they don’t have enough throw for that application.

It has been a long time since I have posted in here. I keep checking back on this thread (Book...... Encyclopedia collection) from time to time to reference all the great knowledge that is in here. Well, my plane is still not done, but have made a lot of progress. Just haven't taken the time to do posts. So I thought I would throw up some pictures and show this 10 year on and off project. So much has changed.

I wonder if it would be worth while to spend the time needed to convert the parts into SVG for creating laser cut parts for this particular model, os do the Ziroli or other plans build planes that have the parts on the plans and not a sheet in the boot that needs to be properly sized first. Would there be a market for it?

Can anyone who has the plans out give me the measurement for them? I want to print out the PDF I have, but its size at 22 x 8.5, but scales up nicely, just need the size for the printer to make a copy of it.

Sign me up. Been flying RC Corsairs for years and they always make me smile with a nice low pass. Flying a FMS Red Bull 1500mm currently.
